I have been waching SRGMP since a long time now. I have watched Challenge 2005 in it's entirety.
Himesh and Ismail are hand in glove when it comes to promoting their Gharanas. It's not like they care too much for the contestants in their Gharanas let alone care for contestants from other Gharanas. They are here to push their own agenda. To them, it's not about the contestants but about themselves.
Himesh is doing to Aneek what he did to Vinit. To Ismail, Amanat and Poonam are like Debojit and Nihira. Notice how Himesh and Ismail concur with each other and you will know these are two brothers thicker than thieves.
They want Aneek and Amanat to come to the finals so Himesh could walk away the winner this time around, since, in Challenge 2005, it was Ismail who was the winner.
Professionally, Ismail doesn't amount to much. Himesh thinks no end of himself and to a certain extent he might be right juding by the way he manages to get music contracts or the way he gets away with his comments on shows like this or the way the contestants from his gharana garner mass support or the way he's managing to get acting roles in mainstream movies. But all that could change and Himesh knows that and he's here to make hay while the sun shines.
People expect decent folks like Vishal/Shekhar to pick a fight with these goons. That is not going to happen because V/S are smart enough to realize it's a losing battle. Plus V/S are here not to fight but to actually find some good talent irrespective of which gharanas the contestants are from. That said, Vishal is still too warm blooded to let go Himesh's comments without a good retort once in a while.
While Himesh's antics look amusing to some, irritating to some and plain annoying to others, deep down he's a possesed man with only one goal - win at any cost.
