Let the contracts say what they like. But public opinion is something before which all contracts will have to bend.
In the Big Brother show in the UK also, all the contestants have to sign contracts that they will not hold the channel responsible for anything. Yet, when the public saw the racism that Shilpa Shetty was suffering, they rose as one voice. Both the Indian and the UK govts took notice. The entire issue of racial harassment came under scrutiny. The programme producers are still facing fire from the UK govt. How come the contracts did not protect them?
