Says Ismail, "In 2005 when we were doing Sa Re Ga Ma for Zee TV, Himesh had asked me to do something worthwhile in the field of music. He advised me to change with the times and compose music that would appeal to today's generation. However, I was scared to experiment. I have never sung a song in my life and I was surprised when Himesh said that I have a very unconventional voice and that I should take up singing. After some days Himesh called me and asked me to accompany him to the T-Series office. I was surprised to know that he had already told Bhooshan Kumar that I will sing for an album. I was scared by the idea of singing but he insisted that I should sing for the album. I am very thankful to Himesh. He not only got me this contract with T-Series but is also taking keen interest in everything that I am doing. He has also asked me to reduce 10 kilos and wants to make me a rock star. I want to work hard and not loose this opportunity and make a fantastic album." |
