nammi86, I also (like you) don't like it when people start bashing other without any substantial evidence or inside details. AS far the post is concerned, I DON'T work behind scenes of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, but I do know a few sources from whom I have learned this accurate information.
I have an Aunty whose brother-in-law is the tabla player for the show and she was told about this ordeal. Now how accurate my aunt is, I don't know, but I am pretty sure that she is not one to "make" this all up.
Secondly, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is going to be shut down due to a permit problem ( I don't know what the EXACT problem is) but I have an Uncle on the executive commission of the Mumbai Court and he is the one that will be handling the case, he can't give me details, but he told my dad that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is going to "milk the most of the time that they have on air."
Now, I am not the smartest person on Earth, but I am not dumb either, surely one can understand in what context they were speaking in: TRPs. Manipulation of numbers in order to raise trps is an issue behind the scenes.
Furthermore, when Gajendera Singh was in charge of the TV show, they didn't run into a problem like this because in that time, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was the only leading talent show, people would rush home to see it, now it has strict competition like Star Voice of India, Indian Idol, etc...what makes it worse is the fact that Gajendera Singh who manages SVOI knows how to deal with issues, so "back in the day" Sa Re Ga Ma Pa would have to do things to compromise the future of their singers severly.
I hope I didn't come off as harsh, but I also hope I addressed the concerns you had about my credibility.
