I kind of agree with Himesh

I think he is kind of right when he says that a new singer need to get an identity of their own, and stick with what they know best. India has too many copycats of Rafi sahib, Kishore ji and so on. They are sitting in their own homes right now and stuck to their jobs, or singing at a restaurant, bar, or what ever.

If they need to succeed, they need to get better at what they know best.

But still I think that it was wrong of him to ask Mauli to perform once again. I think that the judge were influenced by her second perfomance. First one wasn't that good.

I agree that copying Rafi or for that matter any singer will not cut. You have to bring something new to the table.

She got second chance because Himesh said Bappi Da didn't chose right song for her. In the last episode Bappi Da said from now onwards he is going to chose all her songs.

actually, HR didn't ask Mauli to perform once again - it was partly Mauli's misunderstanding i think. HR clearly emphasised to sing "one line from the mukhda" to prove that she has potential.. instead Mauli sang the whole song over again.

thats true, but i think a mentors job would be to guide the contestant and tell them what is good or not good for them. what suitd their voice and what not. Well, to me thats the perfect mentor.

I'm agree with you. anita sang nicer than mauli.
