wonder how people would react if their own teachers and mentors talked the way this guy does. sincere, honest, heart-warming? this guy is both cause and symptom for the declining language standards around these days 😡

Well said.Totally agree with you. Now, its time to give back what you receive.I really dont know why participants are taking bullshit from these mentors.

agree. it's not as if these MDs love each other anyway. run down one MD and a singer will probably get plum assignments with his other back-stabbing equally crass rivals😆

There are two type of people in the world, one who want to be nice to everyone, but also want to be good at what they want to be

And there are others who dont care whether someone is good to them or they are good to someone, they just want to excel

This is the second year Ismail Darbaar is a mentor or even others are in the mentorship or as guru's on this or other shows, we all know ID is very good at mentoring his kids, his contestants won the crown last year, other contestant came out as the biggest find from the show. We also know he is not partial in comments towards contestants and we also know he speaks gaon ki bhasha. And he is not the one of those to go to Kokate school of English to learn mannerisms like the white collareds. We all know when we switch on the TV who the mentor is, if we have a problem with that, we should just switch that off, obviously the participants dont have a problem with that or else they would have complained

Why the contestants take it? well they know he is a good mentor, he has good knowledge to impatt and they give more preference to learning the craft that some of the words which might stand like a sore thumb, you know it is their career on the line here, not some viewer who cant stand a tone or a word that the mentor uses 😉

and ID is neither. flop across the board😆

nope. we all dont😛 There's a difference between skill and luck😉

Why the contestants take it?

lack of alternative options?😛

well they know he is a good mentor, he has good knowledge to impatt and they give more preference to learning the craft that some of the words which might stand like a sore thumb, you know it is their career on the line here,

and i suppose being told on public airways to open a paan dukan is good for their singing career😆

Agar koi danda school ka aadi hai, then i guess i can understand that bit of twisted philosophy😉

not some viewer who cant stand a tone or a word that the mentor uses 😉

dont know about others. but i watch the show to judge the mentors. aur kya reason ho sakta hai?😛 😆

incidentally i am grateful for the tone he uses. tone naheen hota toh masala kahaan hota?😉

oh good. looks like this can be a meaty debatable topic😉😉😉

Bollywood is known to have the most egoistic personalities..There is always a big rivalry between singers ...and we have seen one of established female singer has shown so much insecurity from the contestants itself..You are dealing with this type of scenario..

If you are in India and not doing any professional degree, you are dealing with these people..As Brijesh said, they wont even let you come close to them..you just cannot reach them to show your talent..Because there are thousands and thousands of people roaming in Bombay in search of a dream career..

Here is a saregama platform, where u can show your talent in front of these mentors and there is some chance that you will be recognized..it is better to hear from MD like Ismail than hearing from his chowkidaar telling you to get lost from patali gali..

It is different for some body like Irfaan or Debojit, they have careers and at least will have roti..but if you don't have a family buisness, no job, no professional degree..just dreams of making it big..you be ready for all this crap..

This is a verbal abuse by standards of many countries including India but it may be a common thing in situations like Bollywood(where supply far exceeds the demand)..After this "paan bada" thing..VS mentioned to Brijesh that they will try to help him..so it may turn out to be a blessing in disguise for this young man..Without any doubt, the ID remarks are deplorable..

The reason ID said that is because laaton ke bhoot baaton se nahi maante.

Brijesh ko hi dekh lo - even after having heard this he still didn't get it, and resorted to crying and begging for work. Sometimes you have to shake these kids back to reality, and that is what ID tried to do.
