Mentors seems to be criticizing their own contestants harshly..Himesh went overboard..He had a negative reaction even before Yogendra started singing....Vishal shekhar also were critical of their contestants, so was Bhappi da..

Ismail contestants were also criticized by VS and others but Ismail did not say one word of praise and left it to the judges..

What is going on..Is this some new strategy to create some kind of impression in front of the public that they are very honest and objective like Ismail was last year?....Are the mentors following some kind of script from the director?..Which mentor has so far impressed you with their analysis?your views about mentors performance so far..

A mentor can always criticize their contestants and there is nothing wrong in it, but it should have a valid reason.

Well, the quality of the contestants the last two days (except for Sunil's performance today) does warrant some harsh words.

So far, from the past two days, there was probably only Sunil's performance today which you could say measures up to Twinkle or Sanchali from 2005, forget about even comparing them to Hemu, Himani, Nihira, Vinit, Sharib or Ujjaini. Last week, the second day with Mauli, etc. turned out to be much better than the first day. Let us hope that next week is much better compared to this week.

I mean personally I feel this year's contestant's aren't as good as last years...but yes the mentors were hard...but I mean if you didn't sing well, you didn't sing well. The reality is harsh. But its a wake up call, and the contestants can improve. The mentors can't keep buttering the contestats even when they don't sing well.

I think mentors should be able to do a constructive criticism..There is no need to do a live demonstration of expression and feelings on the stage as was done by Himesh..He even started giving his negative reactions about Yogendra even before he started singing..it was felt by Asha ji and she made a good remark..that if mentors start doing such a thing.it can be devastating to the contestants..

VS guys were overcritical on the best performances of the show ..likes of Apurva, Sunil, amanat, Rima and just snubbed them with three words"achcha nahin gaya" and than didnot expand on it..Same way Bhappi da used three words but with a much less harsher tone..

Ismail was better than others and and just said "riyaz karo.."

Why what happened, Are the contestants so good that the likes of VS/ID/HR/BL not qualified to criticise them? or Do the viewers have a better ear at music than MD's such as VS/ID/HR/BL? I for one dont mind yeilding to their opinion 😉

😆Thanks Sareg for your post..Arey yaar, yeh koi retro caffe thorhi na hai that the mentors behave like kasai and consider contestants like chickens😆..Boss, Himmy can give somebody post traumatic stress disorder..the way he is going.. Seriously, I thought they were overcritical and it is possible that I may be wrong..

There was too much criticizing of contestants especially Himesh who started criticizing Yogi even before he started to perform. He kept on saying first its important to be a good human being. Does that mean other contestants were not good human beings?
