SRGMP Lil Champs 2009 - Section RULEs - MUST READ!

Every member should read this- some ground rules for the section. Some more new rules added to the list.

Dear Friends,

It is that time of the year again when we all need to touch base with the section ground rules, as we seem to be deviating off, at times.. or maybe too many times. Take these rules as the updated rules for this section.

But before we do that, let me first congratulate all of you for making the section a beautiful musical paradise where we all come and feel right at home. Despite the show being off air, the section was always rocking and there was quite an active participation. The credit goes to all. 👏

However, there are some areas where we all still need to work upon. Recently it has been observed that a whole lot of non musical topics are springing up on the section cover page which may have or could have been avoided. Inevitably these topics get locked up by us, but a cover page with so many locked threads looks very messy and we don't want that. So to minimize this, we the SRGMP Dev team have come up with certain ground rules that we will all be following from now onwards, effective today :

1. All non musical topics will require a consent or approval from the SRGMP Dev team before being opened. Any such topic if found opened without the permission of the Dev team will be trashed immediately without any notice to the member. Non adherence to the rule can lead to warning as well.

1. Please be reminded that no non topic /off topic mundane chatting will be entertained in threads. If you have to discuss, discuss the topic or responses in the topic related to the topic. Non topic chatting makes the threads look unimpressive and also the continuity of the discussion gets lost.

1. It has been seen that at times, the same article or interview gets posted many a times in a day by different members. So, before you post an article, check the last couple of pages to make sure it has not been posted before. Please avoid redundancy. Such articles will be trashed by the Dev Team without any notice.

1. Please do not open threads to voice issues on the section functioning. If you have any such issue, kindly contact the Dev Team and get it sorted out. Such threads or posts will not be entertained and trashed immediately.

1. Please avoid making posts that is abusive, derogatory, insulting or sarcastic enough to affect the sentiment of another member. Such posts will be dealt with very strictly. Also for such posts members are being asked to use report button and not create a scene on the open forum. Members doing that will also be dealt sticktly. No topic can be such that only some particular set of members can post. Every member has the right to post in any topic they want to just that the post should adhere the rules of IF.

1. Do not open welcome or goodbye threads. They also fall in the non musical category.

1. It is being repeatedly mentioned in the MOTW threads, that MOTW threads are to know the member on HOTSEAT better. So, please respect that and participate with that spirit in mind. Do not get carried away in off topic chatting filling up pages. It may seem enjoyable to some, but the rest who are taking active interest in reading the responses or the questions lose track and is quite frustrated. We receive innumerable complaints on this everyday. Please avoid it.

1. Do not quote the long posts. It makes the pages look messy. Quote only the portion you want to comment on.

1. Please do not post articles that are not music related. For filmy articles, there is a bollywood section. Let's stick only to the musical part.

1. Please STOP spamming. It makes the topics and the threads look messy.

1. Henceforth, it has been decided by Dev team that Birthday Threads will be allowed to stay here for the special day only. As soon as the day gets over (US Timing) the thread will be shifted to the Chat Club. You all can then carry on the party and entertainment there. That way no one can have a complaint that his or her thread was closed for chatting or spamming.

( FOLLOWING NEW RULES ADDED- to be strictly followed)

1. While discussing the episodes, please stick to the performance of the participants. Do not comment on their lifestyle, looks, dressing, or anything that is not related to their singing. Such discussions can hurt and offend some . Do not even make comments that can instigate a fight. Anyone found not following this rule will be dealt with very strictly.

1. While discussing the show, DO NOT bring regionalism talks or religious bias or sentiments here. It is a musical war, not a religion war, neither it is a inter country war. Refrain from posting threads titled 'Jai Hindustan', 'Jai Pakistan', 'Jai USA' or 'Jai Africa' types and then running down the other countries.Music has no boundaries, so don't start putting partitions. Anyone found making any offending comment about a country, its culture, religion or people per se, will be dealt with very strictly by the Development Team.
   

1. Do NOT attack the mentors, show directors, participants or fellow members. You can comment on their comments or expressions, but DO NOT get personal.

1. If any of you find any thread or post not to your liking DO NOT retaliate here or start a fight. Make use of the 'REPORT' button and let us know. We are here to solve the issues, please allow us do so..

1. Profanity is a strict 'NO NO' in this section, we do not wish to see any harsh, insulting, abusive or slang words used here. ANYONE using profane or abusive language here will face strict action from the Dev Team.

1. Do not start threads inquiring about show updates or videos. Updaters have been already selected who will do the job regularly. Show updates or videos will surely get posted. So, please have a little patience. Such threads will be trashed without any notice.

1. DO NOT post videos of the shows sourced from other forums. Videos of the shows will be posted ONLY by the selected videobies. Others please do not do it.

There is a 'help desk 'thread as sticky. Please post your questions there, if you have any show related ones. Someone will surely reply to you. Post all the pictures in the picture gallery and do not open a separate topic for the same..

Fan clubs are not allowed here. There is a section dedicated to Fan clubs. Should you want to open a fan club , please do so, but NOT here, open it at the following section : Celebrity Fan Clubs

When you open a discussion topic do check if the same discussion is going on or not. Please don't open seperate topics discussing the same subject. It makes the forum look untidy. Dev Team may close such topics.


1. Personal topics asking about the where about or anything personal regarding any other member will not be allowed to be opened. They too fall under the same catagory as Rule #1. And hence the same action will be followed by the Dev Team as pointed out in Rule #1
   
   

We all call this section our second home. So let's try to keep our home as neat and clean and friendly as possible, let us enjoy as well and set an example for others to follow.

Important Announcement For Members

Rule 23 - Also please note that from now on no threads which compares the reality shows on any aspect will be encouraged.. Such threads will be closed or trashed by the Dev Team

Rule 24 - Keeping in mind that it is a sensitive issue and creating such fake articles may hurt the fans of these celebrities and may cause trouble in the future the dev team has decided not to allow such articles..

Now, it may happen that people do not notice the disclaimer and start believing it as true.. There are many members who can mis interpret the article and start posting in other websites which will then turn out to be a rumor.. So, lets not be the source of initiation for such rumors..

The Dev Team thus decides not to allow such fake articles from now on in the future even if there is a disclaimer.. Please from now on dont start such posts and make up such fake articles..

Are the basic rules of discussion forums have been forgotten OR ignored OR don't matter anymore OR Not Aware of, HERE! Again for benefit of all

Based on observation after reading posts here are details on rules

1. Please go through COC once again

IMP - COC 17 -> Posting messages in all capitals letters is not permitted. This represents "shouting" on the internet and can be viewed as offensive by other members.

2. Section Rules - A must read for all posting here

3. There is no need to respond or quote members that are abusive / offensive / here to destroy the decorum, on your own, REPORT IT. Do not take matters in your own hand. Report them immed'ly. By taking things in your own hands does not help any cause here and makes you equally responsible for the resultant fiasco.

4. Please be AWARE Young / Old members!!! This is virtual world look out for yourself (I am sure everyone knows this fact). Any indecent advances or inappro advances in IF world should be reported immed'ly, at least to make dev team aware rather then waiting till damage is done.

5. There is a limit to personal chit chatting, there are several posts here loosing it's direction because of few members just are endlessly chatting. Sad to see senior valuable contributors falling for it. Go to chat sections guys, you might have much more fun chatting there then here. Spare this one, please.

PS - Aspiring VB's and MOD's, follow these strictly, apart from contributing towards making the section lively. IF is changing process to recruit new DT members reason am delaying response to questions by few members asking me how to into Dev Team.

We understand this show is about to end, better late then never to be aware of discussion forum etiquettes.

Lastly thanks a million who already are posting within COC and helping us. No words to thank you guys. So far speaking for myself, I am absolutely liking this section, no, seriously.

If you are wondering why your or any other topic was closed, then read further. I am making this common announcement as it is very time consuming to provide explanation on each and every post, as there are many posts that needs to closed, as of now.

Reason your topic was closed can be:

1. Topic was a repeat. Similar or related topic is already opened and active.

2. Topic has nothing to do with SRGM or even slightly related SRGM/Music.

3. Topic discussion that owner intents is unclear.

4. Topic is member related.

5. Topic is instigating and lead to hate/bashing.

6. Topic is Inappropriate per COC.

Please don't get discouraged if your topics get closed, we thank you and would want you to come up with newer topics that can add discussion value here.

There can be exceptions to above six point, if you topic fall in exception category, contact me and I will be more then happy to address your concerns.

Utilize the section search, the one on the right of the page to search if similar posts are already active, with keywords like Himesh, Pritam, Vaishali, Judges, repetitive etc etc. Also browse couple of previous pages to find similar / related topics.

All of these rules were applicable before as well, but were just relaxed becuase the show was off air. Now we are gearing back to normal rules since the next Season is starting soon. We all hope that you guys enjoyed this break. 😊


Here are the Rules:

1. Please do consult with one of the Dev Team members before starting a game.

2. From now on only one game at a time would be allowed to be active.

3. The game can only run for one week, after which it will be closed.

4. The games can only be started on first come first post basis, so whosoever PM we get first will be allowed to post the game in the first available week. And the next person's next week and so on.

5. The games will be on Friday to Friday basis.



So if anyone has a idea about starting a game for this Friday, then please PM us.
