😆I did not see the movie myself but according to the article it is about the plight of Hindu widows in 1930s😕

I dont think that any Indian commercial movie, which has songs and dancing will ever win an oscar.
There have been many English musicals that have won Oscar, but the type of song and dance that we enjoy is actually very ridicules when it comes to showing reality. Also, our commercial movies are too long for any non Indian person to have the patience to watch. English movies which are at least half as short as any Indian movies, generally have so much story told in comparison to Indian movies. Our movies actually start after the interval. The first half is just plain entertainment. The storyline is almost always unbelievable and ridiculus, just like our soaps.
Only we love what we see, and I dont see others loving it.
