Have you eaten from the langar there? I think it's the biggest in the world.

Yes, I did.

We met some friendly locals there who told us quite a bit about the place, the langar, the museum, the seva etc. We landed up in Amritsar during one of their festival days when the temple was overflowing with devotees. The atmosphere was amazing.

Just when I was appreciating Vinnie for not putting any food pics., she puts them here too!!! Kya kare, aabtoh muje bahut bhukh lagi hai Vinnie! Abhi chocolate se kaam nahi chalega..... need Indian sweets. 😳

Yes, tis sheer bliss once you enter the premises of Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple). When you have the langar sitting in a pangat with other devotees you find yourself in a different world. In the evening Harminder Sahib is in full glory with kirtan being played by the Raagis in Sanctum Sanctorum. The term Harmandir Sahib literally means "the temple of Hari - the supreme power."
