a million thanks sareg 👏 👏 👏 ...i watched this megafinals twice(there was a repeat a few months later!).i am a md vakil fan..i was so happy when he won!!!..in the last two days of the megafinals pt. hariprasadchaurasia was not present,i was worried for vakil-hariji was big vakil supporter...

i am listening to the first video...the girls sanjeevani sudeshna and even bela dont sound too good...i have heard better..

The old SRGM had some interesting rounds: non-orchestra, new compositions etc. No reason why such rounds can't coexist with the new format.

Non-orchestra round

I agree this is the most difficult round in my opinion, and now it is not there, singing without a support, the voice is bare, you have no opportunity to hide any misses, like walking on a string, e.g

Mohd Vakil, always reminded me of my roommate, drawing a free-hand sketch of a Madhuri picture before a Engineering Drawing Exam, and then topping the university on the exam the next day

sareg,parthiv was too good !! ..his"premjogan" was awesome..i used to be worried sick when he sang 😳.anil biswas was very impressed with him.I think md.vakils 'kesariya 'won him the title..the judges did say that among the males there was a clear winner..but a lot difference of opinion on the girls..finally bela won!!

another thing i have noticed is that old is not always gold!!the earlier srgm programmes encouraged a lot of kids and adults to takeup singing(every regional channel has their own srgm and very popular too)..the newer kids come very well prepared.

if a sanchita can manage to get a 'golmaal' or 'jhoom jhoom' just right,accent attitude etc..it takes practice..

i believe that if this competition is all about playbacksinging..extensive classical training is not an absolute must..kk and sunidhi are best examples..most youngsters now quote these singers as their fav.yes KK too!
