Why should we vote for the weakest contest? He gets to sing the easiest songs and gets the most lenient marks. I think it's self evident that he is the least talented of the group. I don't expect him to lose until the final three but he's the least deserving of the 5.

I find that term very offensive and insulting. Why do you have to assume that I'm anti anybody. I'm stating my opinion regarding the talents of the 5 contestants. I find him weak. Where is the extremist element in that? I would suggest you be careful when using terms such as Jehadi. It's just as bad as calling someone a "negro" which is also extremely offensive. I hope you will refrain from such insults in the future and I hope moderators will not allow such terms to be used on the forum.

MOST LINIENT marks??? i think you should check the episodes he has gotten quite a few low marks and yelling. Also it is not his Singing (which is actually really really good not as aweful a few people will tell you it is. ) Everyone has accepted the fact he is not the best singer in the competition.. although with time , patience, hardwork and practice he can accomplish dat as well. What sets him apart from other compititors is his personality , charm , stage persence, attitude , and all the other x-factors dat make people ignore his short commings and are willing to support him all the way. I truly think he deserves atleast top 2 thanx for sharing Cricfan hope this explains why so many people in india and abroad appreciate and support him.

Ps: I still think he is the best singer most unique voice , can sing almost any type of songs and lots of emo and expressions in the song.

GO SAMEER!!!!

CRICFAN,
I completely agree with you. You said it!! πŸ‘

What the hell is wrong with people?? if he sings well, he will get votes. why shud he get votes cos its ramadan season?? so in diwali, these asses will vote for the others?? what happens if this were to be the 24th of december?? can;t indians keep caste system, indian politics and religious jibber jabber out of young kids' lives at least???? shame on such people seriously!! what the hell is india proud of "the so called unity in diversity?" bullcrap.. there is no such a thing. It is all about religion, regionalism and ppl like "ramadan special supporters of sameer" proove it. sameer is a very ordinary singer in comparison with the other 4, yet he is blessed to have such voters, who care about religion-based voting and have the money to promote such lowly
behaviour.

Yeah, Singer like karunya lost to sandeep acharya and "mera bharat mahaan!"
atleast those were adults.... ppl bring dirt in childrens' lives. they make me sick.
mqt.

GO SAMEER!!!!

You certainly have a right to your opinion and I respect that. However, I respectfully disagree that he's the best or most unique singer. He's the least trained, with the worst voice quality and fell flat on his face during the ghazal round. I still maintain that he gets the easiest songs and the most lenient marks (other than the ghazal round and even then Alka gave him a B+ when she wanted to give her a B).

Myabe what you have written is your personal opinion.

But Sameer is one of the best singers, and much better than those who are here with sympathy votes, not to name anyone.

And I m sure he will be in the top 3 which he definetely deserves.

BTW, who is the best singer? Sanchita? Abhro? etc etc? you could argue for months and never get the a good answer.

Contrary to public perception SRGM isn't about choosing the best singer. Neither is playback singing. If talent is the sole crtieria, go hunt for it it the classical schools of music in our country. I guarantee you will find far better singers than on SRGM.

Playback singing is how well you sound like the character on screen. That's where the xfactor comes in. From that point of view, Sameer's Don was the best performance, because you could feel the force of Amitabh's personality.

Another factor is versatility. You have to carry off classical and cabaret with equal finesse. Noone comments on how Abhro, by far the best classical singer on the contest, failed to deliver the punch in Badshah. But the public will notice and cast their votes accordingly.

And then IF members will lament on how public voting is unfair.

Mistakes can always be corrected during recording. So please don't harp on them. Anyone can have a bad day, and I don't think the public will vote out anyone based on one bad performance.
