Adi did you forget, there is telephone, which is always very close & will take care of ear treatment anyway, so may be your vacation package will not help you much anyway.

1. Naushad : Naushad and Hemant Kumar have two unforgettable songs 'Chandan ka Palna' and the later 'Insaaf ki dagar pe'. Apart from these two songs I can't think of any other time these two artists came together. Did they?

2. SJ : SJ also have two great songs with Hemantda. 'Rulakar chal diye' and 'Yaad kiya dil ne'. Beyond these two songs is there anything else?

3. Chitragupt : 'Din raat badalte hain'... again a beautiful song. Great usage of Hemant's voice. Any other songs?

4. Ravi: Since he was Hemant Kumar's assistant there should be many songs but I can only thing of 'Darshan do ghanshyam nath'

5. Roshan: He has exploited the emotional depth in Hemant Kumar's voice with breathtaking results in 'Chupa lo yun dil mein'. Is that all these two stalwarts have together?

You are right Barnali ji...
Lets not forget that he was a fairly busy MD (both Hindi and Bangla film industry) as well so he probably chose only a few from the offers he used to get

With Ravi in Ayodhyapati - chod chale aaj hamare Ram dipak

With Roshan in Aagosh - duet with Lata - dheere dheere chad gaya

With SJ in Badshah - aa neel gagan tale pyar karein hum

With Chitragupt in Daaka - aasmaan tu kya jaane

To name a few and there are still more out there...

Thanks for the information Questji and Barnaliji.

My hindi favs. are :

Na tum hamein jano
Ye nayan darey darey
Tum pukar lo
Janey woh kaise log the
ya dil ki suno duniyawalo

Bengali:

Jebanpurer pahtik
Boshey achi potho cheye
Ei raat tomar amar
Neer choto khoti nei
Olir kotha shuney
Surer akashey

Rabindra sangeet:

Jokhon porbey na mor payer chinho
Ami pothbhola ek pothik
Tumi robey nirobey
Mone ki dwidha rekhey geley choley
Purano sei diner kotha
Na chahiley jarey paoa jaye

Our first meeting...
Bela Mukherjee, wife of Hemanta Mukherjee, reminisces...
I was a regular singer for Chhotoder Aashor in All India Radio then. We were working for a programme for Bani Kumar, and Kajida was the music director of that programme. There I heard the name of somebody called 'Baro Khoka'. During the rehearsals, he would never turn up and when Kajida complained about this, Banida used to say, "That's no problem, if Baro Khoka hears the song once only, he will pick it up." We were all very surprised. The day before the programme, when we were doing the final rehearsals, he turned up. I remember very well how my sister Aabha and I had laughed on seeing him for the first time a tall, thin boy ... 'Baro Khoka'. He got very angry. In fact, later he had told me that he had even thought of complaining to the person in charge.

But on that day, we hadn't met formally. Our next meeting was at a function in Jessore. That time, carrying a bag with you was the 'in' thing. Just a few days back, I had got a new bag as a birthday present and, needless to say, I was carrying it. But, I was not at all comfortable with it. On top of that, I was wearing a saree, which I had just learned how to wear. It was impossible to take the bag on stage and I did not know what to do. Suddenly I saw 'Baro Khoka' standing in the wings and chatting with my sister. I asked my sister to keep my hag, but she refused. So, I did the only thing I could I requested him to hold it for me. That was the first time I had spoken to him. After that, thanks to my extrovert sister, he started coming to out house and we started getting closer. Finally, in 1945, we got married.
