Ismailji was the most encouraging man in c2005, but was also a very strict teacher, trying to take the best out of each and everybody. He looks to be rude, but is very honest in his opinion. He has seen UA and BS from one year, from the time of c2005 audition. Probably still he think them to be his student, correct the things whatever he felt like. "Tum log ne mere gaane ka to band baja diya" seems to be a bit rude, please remember he was the same person who told Debu "Mein pehle soch raha tha ki mein ghora par sawar kar raha hoon, par tum log sab to Gadha nikle" Debu was very humble and he replied "Sir mein isbaar ghora banke dikhaunga", now it depends on how people takes his comments, if positive way, they will improve. If the contestants think themselves star, and just ignore them, then it will be their mistake. I feel Ismail ji is a tough taskmaster, emotional, perfectionalist.

You are right rongmonji. Hate is a very strong word one should not use it in general. Teacher who care will always tell the truth and in general student like those teacher who are sweet to them, same is with Ismailji he cares and wants them to be perfact in their singing.

Maye so. But he is not a guru in the sense of it for all participants and Guru does not neccesarilly means being rude. I dont know about Ismail being a perfectionalist.n Its not like every movie of his is a hit and he is the most outstanding MD. He was the one who thought ARR's music is not that great either in one of his interviews. So much for his arrogance. So I dont think he should be put on a pedestal up there.

CB and Lalit: Negotiating 101 - Wild display of emotion, walking away from the deal, Creating Deadlock are tricks of the trade...... I think he is being himself but these are good negotiating traits!!

Now coming to your other point about shooting the finger and your Dharm dialogue, I will say this:

I would rather get "Pissed Off" than "Pissed On" so I see nothing wrong in that "reet" either !! Just my "street smarts" opinion.....😆

I don't like Id either. I find him misbehaved and uneducated in expression. Being honest about your opinion can be expressed in a variety of ways. Anyway, That's my opinion.

The trio situation during the SRGMP Contest was an example of poor role modeling from these mentors. Each mentor contributed their negativity towards these contestants.

The guest of honours also were rude at times. I remember Jagjit Singh's remarks towards one of the contestants. Delar Mehdi was rude too. 🤢

I agree with you completely. I dont like Many of these musical maestros when it comes to personality. However, because others are poor in behavior does not change my perspective towards him. And since this post was about ID , I expressed my feelings regarding him.

Isn't hate a very strong word??? He has given his critical comments, accept them for their worth and improve accordingly. He is pretty strict and he doesn't just pass comments for the heck of it.

i think lack of education made him like ammm, and he doesn't know hindi very well too, bcoz he is guju, otherwise he is really a good musician, basically in music, ppl really respect a lot to their guruz, so it is their game, but v can't clap only, v need to have something else to talk about 😆
