Kalyanji-Anandji’s dhun wins Grammy..!!

Kalyanji_Anandji's famous song ye mera dila pyar ka diwana ( from legendry movie Don) got it's opening music on keyboard lifted in toto by the international pop & rap group Black Eye in the song Don't phunk with my heart last year.
But surprise surprise, rather than calling it inspiration they bought international copy rights from Anandji, who is apparently quite elated from international success of this dhun.
If I'm not wrong this pop song by Black Eye also has notes from another KA's songs from movie Apradhi.

Kalyanji-Anandji compositions wins the 48th annual Grammy Awards

The prize came under the category , BEST RAP PERFORMANCE BY A DUO OR GROUP, and won by the group (The Black Eyed Peas)
from the track : " Monkey Business". But how Kalyanji-Anandji came into the picture ? Here is the full story. The track puts together two compositions of Kalyanji-Anandji, sung by Asha Bhonsle – "Yeh mera dil pyar ka diwana" from the film "Don" and "Ae naujawaan hai sab kuchh yahaan" from the film "Apradh" . This is absolutely legal as the group has formally acquired the rights to create their track using the Kalyanji-Anandji compositions. For those who have not heard the catchy number, the track begins with opening musical bars of the "Don" chartbuster. The rest of the song follows the entire structure of the song from the film, "Apradh". The official credits on the Grammy Awards nominees list reads as follows :

Great News but does the great duo get any credit for it?

yes Black Eye have clearly told in their interview that opening notes are from a famous movie from India...!

👏 thats how it should be. the song is one of the best in the western genre in Indian film music.Atlast getting its due.

Actually I listened to this song in Dec. last year but couldn't follow since I listen to locam FM quite less.

news was he won award and anandji was very happy but anandji did not get it, it gone to somebody else

But they do it legally, and give credits too unlike our Mahesh Bhatt. Who copy script and put written by Mahesh Bhatt, there are so many Mahesh Bhatts in bollywood.
