As a prelude to the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa grand finale on February 24, elaborate plans have been chalked out to make the event spectacular. As part of these plans, celebrities have been gracing the show for the past couple of episodes.
One of these grand plans includes Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh meeting the finalists. So, the two finalists Debojit and Vinit went to the CM's residence on Friday evening where they spent a good half an hour with him and came back entertained, enlightened and impressed. Known to grace award functions and film premieres in the past, it came as no surprise to the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa team when they discovered that Deshmukh is an avid fan of their show. "It was awesome. He didn't behave like a politician or a VIP. He was so warm and helpful. Debojit and I sang one song each for him. Debu bhaiyya sang Madan Mohan Saab's classic 'Tum jo mil gaye ho' from Hanste Zakhm while I sang Ismail Durbarji's 'Ae chand teri chandni ki kasam' from Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya," says Vinit.
"He said wonderful things to Debojit and Vinit. He seemed to be well-informed about the happenings on the show, so he was aware of the tension among the judges. He also told the two boys that they should be grateful to be blessed with gurus who cared so deeply for them. It was a wonderful experience," adds the show's producer-director Gajendra Singh. Now, Debojit and Vinit are preparing for the grand finale.
