Dear Viewers,

I think the process of selection in game shows like SaReGaMaPa/ Indian Idol etc., is not right.

We know that in Eurovision contest, where countries from whole of Europe participating, home country is not allowed to vote its participant. I think this makes sense.

But once again neighbouring countries(provided their relation is good) vote for them. Germany not being popular due to past history its always tough for contests from Germany to win for example.

In India also many south Indians live in north India and vice versa, allowing some advantage/disadvantage. But still by not allowing home state to vote for its participant one can get probably better Singer.

Mr.Kamlesh,

Thats exactly what I thought too.

The point here is to get a good singer not a elected member by majority. I am trying to explore Ideas to select a good singer. In my opinion Vinit, Hema, Nihira, Himani were by far good candidates than Debo. I am sorry I am not being partial, his broken voice was there for everyone to see.
I am sure ID himself would prefer Nihira to Debo.

I wish if there is no bias in selection.

Well I think you dont know something that South Indians presemt in other states in huge numbers and in some places out number the locals.. also same with Bhaiyas.. Then Marathis/NE people/Kashmaries/Oriyas will never win.. Thats is not fair..

My suggestion:
They should exchange their guru s now and then
That way Participants can learn from all gurus and gurus also can't show partiality while giving marks

multiple voting system should be avoided .This system can't bring real winner always
Too much rigging

Frankly I feel that in the final rounds, expert musicians in the industry should have been invited to judge. They are the best and qualified persons to decide, more so since the level of competition and the quality of singing was was pretty high in SAREGAMAPA 2005. It is a pity if better singers lost in a competition of such high calibre.

Ultimately, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this show since it was loaded with talent and it is always a pleasure to see and hear young talents give such flawless, perfect performances. I hope that pundits and experts in the industry have been following the show and irrespective of who wins, we see the real talents emerge and shine a few years down the line. I would definiely be watching out for that :-)

I agree that there is too much rigging! Esp between AS & HR. They way they should used to support each other's participants. even when Nihira gave her best, quiet a few times, she would get 9/10.
I remember once when I attented the show (long long time ago)a friend of mine who was then working for Gajji, said I could participate in the show and he would make sure that I atleast got to the semi finals.
That was the state of affairs then. So I can only imagine now!
SRGMP has given a lot of good singers but again none of us know how much they would have had to struggle once the competition was over.
Well, my only hope is that the good singers get a chance to sing and we get to enjoy their singing.

Being a south Indian I am feeling sad on my place first time in my life by seeing the great singer Hemachandra is sent out from the show..It is always their badluck that they could not see their persons in the National point of view though they have good potential.. but could not stand with the bloody political and unjustice way of selections... I am regreting by being a south Indian.. and also feeling sad for Hema is not in the final to show his DUM & Strength in the national level.. Hats of Assamese for voting to their so called singer Debo who is not at all up to the level.. and electing him only with the regional feeling..

excuse me, i am a south indian too, hemu did not fail, he is still goin to live on. he is the INDIA KI VOICE!! u should feel proud that hemu is in top 3 and plus this show was full regionalism ok. I am from the U.S and i am proud to be a south indian. HEMU HAS TALENT AND HE HAS MANY OFFERS IN FILMS.

Hai ..

Excuse me ..I meant to say that ..the people from our place did not vote for him as much as the North east did for Debojit..and our entire people they did not take a few minutes to just dial a single vote for him consistently..Don't you remember Shaan was saying in one episode that the people from south India late jaag rahe hai..??

Actually I wanted to see Hema. in the top final .Becoz he is the only deserving candidate...I was so upset when he was out..

Now ..No matter he is out..Becoz I am happy now that he can buy 100 flats in Bombay .. which they are announcing as the final prize ..with his sweet melodious voice .. he can win everybody's hearts.. ..I am happy in one way.. that he can become exact play back singer for Abhishek Bachchan and also for the great heroes, even he is the one who is after Balasubramanyam, and hariharan in south...

I am changing my comment now ..

I am proud to be south Indian , being just Hema belongs to our Andhra Pradesh..as every body say..He is the VOICE OF INDIA

Thank you so much.. for responding to my quote..
