Himani, she is too good.....she is very talented singer

This is obviously a pro Himani thread and may not welcome what I have to say.

Himani is very good and may go on to win this competition,now that Nihira is out.I also feel that she was certainly the most consistent singer.But in the hindi film industry,we will have to wait and watch if she becomes a legend.She is excellent in a certain genre but does not have the versatilty even of Sunidhi Chauhan.By versatility,I don't mean the range of songs.I am talking of the octaves and scales
Listen carefully to "bhaage re Mann kahin" from Chameli.Very conveniently the scale was changed for her.

Nihira sang the A R Rahman song from BOMBAY exactly on the same scale as the original and even the aalaap.Also the Hare Rama song in 2 diff octaves;a feat very senior singers can find difficult.

Sunidhi is still very much around,so Himani will have to wait before music directors prefer her to Sunidhi.Mark my words,even AS will make her sing in low budget films.

All the contestants are young and anyone could become a legend.Who knows the future after all??
This was genuinely not to criticise Himani....I admit I am a Nihira fan.I was just trying to analyse these 2 talented singers.

Be it Himani or Nihira,I wish them both good luck.

I think Himani is better than Sunidhi,though Sunidhi brought the western style in her singing which was quite new to India.
Have you heard Sunidhi giving a live performance of a romantic number (out of her genre). I have hrd her singing (I don't remember the song) and she was quite horrible. In a studio even Qazi's voice seems good... toh Sunidhi ka kya kehna! People might have noticed that in high pitched songs Sunidhi goes completely patla-patla (adwarakanath! help! what is it called in proper musical term?) Eg: In "Bhaage re mann" and in "Dhadak Dhadak". That's like some western singers like Norah, LeAnn, Andrea Corrs.

Sunidhi haven't sung a classical number (atleast till now). Ask her to sing "Chhthhiya" and we will see.

What I like about Sunidhi is how she introduced western style of music in India... and now every wannabe wants to copy her. But I find her range weak too...

HIMANI is no where Near Nihira

HImani a legend? Nihira has been offered a song which she will sing with the fame gurukul winner and is singing a song for Ismail in the film alag, 2 songs in a matter of days? now thats a legend. Himani fans when Himani steps out to the music world she will be competiting with sunidhi chahun, where as Nihira has it all to gain with the support of Ismail jee. How many of you knew Shreay Ghoshal before devdas? not manny ... Now look at her a star.

Himani is a great singer no doubt but the most deserving singer amongst the female? maybe not ... if swandanda and Nihira were still in we would probably be seeing a different story right now.

all this while I have been saying that the scales are always lowered for Himani. Chittiye was done the same way because she would never be able to sing in Lata's high scale. Jiya Dhadak Dhadak which people have been going crazy about was also on a lower scale but it turns out that when Himani sung on a lower scale it turned out good. Though personally I did not like it much.I was missing Rahat fateh Ali Khan when I heard her sing Jiya Dhadak Dhadak

Her best was possibly "tere bin Nahin jeena mar jaana dolna" which scale was perfect for her. Otherwise she is a good but ordinary folk type of singer, not even close to Richa Sharma so her becoming a legend is a dream.

As to why she is getting votes, it is mostly because a lot of drama is involved around her. AS saying all the time that she is like his daughter. Zeetv showing all the time her crying and embracing her mother. Her fainting on the sets and on screen> All these are tactics required to get public emotionally involved. Unfortunately Nihira never did all this, that is why she did not get votes from those emotional fools who cared more about other things rather than her great singing. Drama these days is very important , see HR antics.

I had to state my opinion, because Himani is no LEGEND.If judging was being done by knowlegable people, Swandanda , Raktima and Sharib would still have been here.I do not know about Himani.Yes, Zee Tv would have never made this much money.

Like you said, who cares if Himani is a legend or not. Keep on with your delusion. I don't know about Himani, but know this for sure that Nihira will be around for a looooooooong time. 😉

guys r comparing her with sunidhi , well listen to her new number in chingari-bajuband khul khul jaave and everyone will change their minds
