The topic starter has posted all of his sources, all of them are BOOKS....Something you should probably pick up and read once in a while instead of insulting people's knowledge and their motives. Are you impressed now fountain of all knowledge?

My friend I didn't include Jalal al-Din Rumi in this post because he was a Persian poet, born in Afganistan and expired in Turkey. We are discussing only Indian Sufi poets and musicians thus Rumi doesn't come in that category.

Yes I do acknowledge that I have missed Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya of Delhi and his disciple Amir Khusrow - a well known poet and musician.

Hazrat Nizamuddin was born in Badayun, Uttar Pradesh, India and became a disciple of Baba Shek Farid of Pakpattan, Distt. - Mintgumri, now in Pakistan. Before Baba Faridji's death, he made him his successor. I will update this info in my original post.
