Friends,

Everything is scripted in these shows... irrespective of what votes everyone get (or for that matter do not get!).. Judges have their favorites and are out and out biased towards some contestants on the show.. However I fail to understand that what do these mentors do..

a) Do they choose song for them (I guess not because they have criticized them on choice of songs)
b) Do they help them in understanding technicalities of songs? Perhaps - but no AV is shown for these - so I have my doubts?
c) Do they teach them some additional music points outside of bollywood songs- Of course not, for which they themselves have to have knowledge of music..

So why not have all the contestants perform as one team and the judges give their own marks... The mentor, gharana, team - doesn't add any value for me - as I do not see how it affects their performances???????

These mentors come to the studio to warm their seats. Repeat the same comments week after week. Come up on stage to interrupt performances. Kiss and hug the contestants to supposedly encourage them. Then take their fat paycheck and leave, only to return the following week to repeat the same process all over again. 😡

We cannot paint all with the same brush but I am sure they are involved in some ways. But I guess they do spend much time going through the scripts too.😆

I suggest paying huge sum like c olors for Big Boss and making Salman, John & others mentors, they can pass same comments (sur choote, betala ho gaya, rab rakha) and at same time improve glam value.

Here is my choice of mentors
1. Ranbeer Kapoor; always willing to dance & entertain, tremendous training in naag dance, a usp of the show
2. Salman Khan; Seasoned guest of SRGM, has come over many times, he & his towel ride are perfect entertainers
3. Kareena Kapoor; With Bollywood getting new bebos she needs TV more than TV needs her. Good dancer, sporting.
4. Priyanka Chopra; With failure of recent movies like Anjana Anjani she also needs TV serials badly, very sporting, good personality.

Then the show (which already has become a hybrid of India n Idol & SRGM can become a tribrid of the two + dance Indian dance.

I do not know what exactly they do, but if there separate mentors for different participants, they should never be allowed to judge, because in that case they are becoming judges in a case where there own interests are involved. I think this violates the principal of natural justice. Surprisingly all the mentors are allowed to judge/mark all the participants including their own!
