Sniti Mishra was electrifying as she sang legendary jhoote naina bole from film lekin tonite.

It was so good that judges were left stunned.

Excellent rendition, very good demonstration of pakad, range and voice control.

As earlier discussed this song is based on Bilaskhani Todi. This raag has been composed by Miya Tansen. He had a son who passed away in young age. When this news reached Tansen, he was singing in the court of Akbar, on hearing this news he started singing Miya ki Todi but moved deeply by sorrow ended up mixing raag Bhairavi. Hence the use of shudha ma. Since then this raag is known as Bilaskhani todi (in remembrance of his son Bilas Khan).

What is this lisp being discussed , I didn't get it.

Dabulls ji I really didn't get it.

But if judges have pointed it could be there and she needs to work on it.

But she is a very good singer, I am full of appreciation for her. It is very important to be sureela and there she scores a lot.

ID she is fab singer and this is a very small issue but the people with sharp ears pick it up.....Also something fixable with therapy...

My post does not take anything away from her singing...But lisp is a lisp and it annoys the heck out of some and does not bother others...

zeetv has cut Sniti's song by half, especially tha alap in the beginning.They cannot wait for two minutes more. There is so much idle talk. The whole song was shown as a jhalak in Aajtak's Khabarein aaj kal on 25-8-2010 at 1.30 pm. what a permance she gave today.

I dont understand the lisp business being talked about. Enjoy the song and do not get stuck in "sh" and lisp.

Superb singing by Sniti...I have said it more than once she is a fab singer.....Today mostly I felt Old SRGM was back with some very good classical based singing...Happy happy happy...
