I totally agree, if such trend continues the program will decrease in its popularity. Sharib getting voted out so early is unthinkable.
Twinkle with her horrible voice is avoiding getting voted out by wearing great clothes and of course with her latkas & jhatkas.
Paresh is in because of the amount he talks, people just get swayed by that. he seems innocent, but I think he is the most cunning of the contestants. He can compared to Kazi of Fame Gurukul
Rajeev is simply getting votes because he is an underdog. He does have talent, and he might win the next Sa Re Ga Ma, when he comes back trained, but not this one.
I hope Nihira & Hemachandra win. Hope people listen rather than just close their ears & let other sensory organs take over.
I have to disagree with the part where you say that Twinkle has a horrible voice. This is a really harsh statement. It's true that Twinkle does not have a very high or sweet voice but then again, neither does Sunidhi Chauhan, and she's one of the best we have in the industry today. There are several others I can name that have a deep, resonating voice; Abida Parveen, Jaspinder Narula being among some of them.
I think that part of the problem with public voting is that selection becomes 100 times more subjective than it was before with 2 judges experienced in music doing the selecting. I think I kind of see where all of these musical reality shows are going with this--I mean, the students are training to be entertainers, and by definition, an entertainer is one who pleases the audience. Therefore the people that please the audience the best are the ones that are the best entertainers, regardless of their sur or taal.
So this whole public voting system was ok for a show like fame gurukul, where the participants would have had to perform a lot in front of audiences after they won. However, in this show, most of the contestants aspire to be playback singers. In this profession, no one really needs to see you perform, and you are not directly entertaining the audience. So I think public voting for a show like this does not make any sense.
However, ultimately I think it doesn't really matter who wins the show, because it really depends on how much hard work they are willing to put into their career. This will, in the end, really determine who will stay in the industry and who won't.
