One of the worst perfoermances by Twinkle

I got to watch the episode of Nov 18th yesterday. I am sorry and with all due apologies to the Twinkle fans, please allow me to say that Twinkle's singing was one of the worst of SRGMP. She attempted to sing "Pyar To Hona hi Tha.." and she was nowhere near the pitch or feel of the song. I read few comments by her fans and others and even JL mentioned that it was a difficult song, and so was "Laagi tumse Man ki Lagan". Sharib could not start from the right node but still he did more than justice to that song, comparing that Twinkle simply screwed up this song. She did not appear to be a contestant to be in the last 11 as simple as that.

It appeared as if she is in some kind of "pain" while singing that song and was hoping that somehow the song finishes quickly and she is out of that problem. If she appeared in so much of problems what about us? I do not think that she knows singing better than many others who were eliminated earlier.

I remember that in the very beginning I had mentioned that she will be exposed more and more as it progresses. I am more than sure that had she sung this song in one of the earlier rounds before judges or mentors, she HAD to be eliminated. But she is lucky that she did not and somehow has survived so far. She is even more luckier that now with SMS voting in place, with her get up and "tantrums" she must have appealed the class of audience who matter the most and unfortunately do not vote only based on singing. That will let her survive.

I particularly feel that her voice is not like other trained singers, it chokes and is husky at many points. Also she doesn't seem to be having a classical background.

Expressions, performance, confidence or overconfidence can not substitute for the very basic "singing", which this competition is all about. Period.

I really wouldn't say she sang that bad. but she selected bad song. This needed lot of energy and practice. I don't think even anyone else in the industry can sing that.
Twinkle always want to sing rough and loud songs, maybe because her sound is not sweet enough, or she want to show her teeth and mouth. 😉 she should have sand Sunidhi Chauhan's song.

Yes I am biased. But not against her in person but her singing which is not of the top quality and her inability to improve which many of us debated earlier, has something to do with her attitude to not learn from her mistakes. ID is one who had encouraged earlier to have expressions and performance and now is the one who wants "mujhe wo Twinkle chahiye jo maine Lucknow me select kiya tha..". I only hope that now the fact sinks in her mind that she has to be first a singer and then a perfomer something which was told by AS and JL in earlier rounds and objected by many in this forum.

If that is not luck then what else? In earlier rounds many good singers also did not have their "days" and got eliminated because of JUST ONE poor perfomance. Do you have heart for them? Why so much of sympathy for Twinkle? I definitely would say that it is her luck that she did not get eliminated because she did not have a "bad day" earlier and other more deserving ones got eliminated. And that is what is called "surviving". Even now if she is not eliminated this time (as I am hearing that it is Swananda), it is "surviving" at the cost of others but she should be voted out based on this day's performance alone. Do you agree?

Hey, it is a forum, every one is free to pass his/her judgement. the fact that you are opposing me is also a kind of judgement by you on my comments. No one is right or wrong in absolute terms and everything is relative in this world.

I like your conmments about Twinlke....she is one of my favorit singers but I do agree that her performance was not good on Nov. 22nd (piyar to hona hi tha)......I really dont' know how to vote for my favoit Sa Re Ga Ma Pa singers............I live in US. is ther any email address or a telephone number i can call?

Same thoughts here. She was going well till last episode. Her performance as compared to others was very bad.

In the guys, Rajiv should leave. He used to sing really well but lately Debojit, Hemachandra,Vinit, and Sharib have been presenting tough competition.

In the girls, I think Nihira and only Nihira should win. There is no doubt that she is the next Shreya Ghoshal. She always gives a perfect performance and she shows a very good attitude.

I felt like Swananda sang 100 times better than Twinkle and Ujjaini but, in public voting, popularity and looks play a huge factor. So lets see who is voted out next...

I agree.. Public voting has taken the talent away from the contest.. Last week Rakhtima definitely did not deserve to leave.. and this week Swananda.. Boy.. that makes me angry...

ANd I agree.. In girls,, Ujjaini and Twinkle should be the first to leave.. as opposed to Rakhtima and Swananda.. I loved Ujjaini.. she was sweet and her voice quality was amazing.. You could tell that she was dedicated.. and now she was the chamak dhamak..
If I got a chance to come back and prove myself.. i definitely wont try to be a performance.. instead just concentrate on my singing.. But then.. thats only me! 😳

I appreciate your opinion but I felt Twinkle sang that song horrendously. She does not have what it takes to sing that type of songs. Again it is my opinion not because I am Nihira's fan. When Twinkle sang "Kahan aa fasi" song 2nd time few weeks back she had the same problem. Could not sing higher notes so she changed the song a bit. She has a horse voice. I don't deny that she is ok singer but not the best. I give Himani, Sanchali and Raktima more credit than Twinkle for lots of songs. This time I don't blame ID for Twinkle's bad performance. I don't think he gave her difficult song & Nihira easy one. They both had difficult songs in my opinion. I personally think Twinkle may have chosen that song to impress judges & viewers with the type of voice she has. Twinkle has not impressed me yet & I have heard her before in SRGMP contest. May be she will change my mind if she stops acting & showing off & starts singing with sincerity. Lots of luck to Twinkle, because she really needs them.

I know you are very much in love with Nihira and I definitely wont wanna take PANGA with u 😛

But I do feel that ID was responsible for what happened with Twinkle the other day.. WHen he saw that one of his students is deviating from her singing, he dint rectify it then.. Rather he promoted it on tv by saying jo dikhta hai wo bikta hai.. do u reallly think that wont get a 20 year old girl over confident?

Besides if he really cared about her as a mentor.. he should have told her this in practice sessions.. I am sure that she wasnt singing that song perfect during practice.. ID would have picked it up right away.. He could have given her a pep talk then to get her to focus on her singing.. changed her song.. or anything... that was a very bad move on ID's part...

Thats true. I completely agree with you. Even I request to all the members to discuss everything in a grown up manner. Some members take remarks as personal. C'mon they are just participants. Enjoy there songs. And if you don't like someone you say it. Others should take that in good manner. Same way you should also take it in good mood when someone else find your contestant bad. That should be the spirit.

😊 😊 😊 Now that Swananda is out, many feel that Twinkle did not deserve to stay on. Some even feel that she did not deserve to be in final 12! But yet there are many who feel that she should be the winner!That is how we are in this forum here and 10,000 times us also would behave the same way in prportion and that is why the results are the way it is!

But I read some posts here which tells me that Twinkle has not changed a bit and she is even more irritating now by saying that she does not care about the results in SRGMP and still she wants to pursue her career in music! Only miracle can help her become a good singer if she did not shed her arrogance!

well I also agree that every1 have it's own choice.I was,I m n I will always say that Twinkel should b out bcoz she is not a good singer she is just concetrating on her per4mence not on her singing n I think that this is wrong with the other good singers like Swananda who r out.She is really irritating(no offence) I watched her in nov18 epi n she sings like..... wat should I say I hope people will vote 4 the right person.
