WOW......Hrishikesh did a great job !! He is one of my favourite contestants from SRGMP days,

Yes, this is the ongoing schedule of Marathi SRGMP on Zee Marathi. This schedule includes only the recently turned professional singers. The singers are given advice on the finer aspects of singing by the the judges - Hridaynath Mangeshkar and Suresh Wadkar.

i've seen bits of it.. great singers... i prefer suresh wadekar... hridaynath talks too much imo...

I see, sounds like a very good concept/competetion, So the contestants sing Bollywood songs only or regional songs too ??

Contestants sing Marathi songs and occassionally, they include Hindi song rounds. I hope they have a similar kind of schedule in Hindi SRGMP too. I am sure Zee will find sufficient music lovers who appreciate quality music than the last few nautanki type schedules.

Thanks for sharing....Hrishikesh rendered this song with lot of emotions keeping to the true spirit. Sureshji really is proud of our favorite Sonu. So the girl in the first SRGMP is Sureshji's wife....Hridaynathji is very knowledgeable and he did remind us why remmbering the history is so important to render the emotions in the song...I like Hridaynathji's compositions especially the file Lekin, he is really talented.

I wish Nihira Joshi, Neha Rajpal, Prajakta shukre were taking part as it is SRGMP Marathi...

Here's the list of contestants when the schedule began. Some of them have been already eliminated....

Rishikesh Ranade, Madhura Datar, Amruta Natu, Vibhavari Apte-Joshi, Sanjeevani Bhelande (eliminated),. Ajit Parab (eliminated), Yogita Pathak-Godbole (eliminated), Amol Bavdekar (eliminated), Pushkar Lele eliminated), Uday Umap (eliminated)

Amongst the contestants, Hrisikesh and Sanjeevani Bhelande were the ones who also made it big on Hindi Saregamapa and are known to non Marathi audience as well. There are a few other participants who did participate in some of the earlier schedules of Hindi SRGM but got eliminated in the earlier rounds, hence are not so well known to the non Marathi audience. However, all the singers have turned professionals and have already sung albums or in films or are activitely doing professional shows.
