Interesting topic summer.

Speaking of sad, sentimental and meaningful, there is one song that comes to my royal mind. Its music is amazing, singing is remarkable and the lyrics are phenomenal. Every word just fits perfectly into the theme. The concept of neela aasma sleeping (or light to darkness) itself is what you are looking for in this topic LOL
On a side note: i dont like this movie at all

Initially i couldnt decide which para i liked better as they are equally well written. Eventually i went for the blue one (however the other one is more sad)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Neela Aasmaan So Gaya

aansuon Mein Chaand Dooba Raat Murjhaayi
zindagi Mein Door Tak Phaili Hai Tanhaayi
jo Guzre Ham Pe Woh Kam Hai
tumhaare Gham Ka Mausam Hai

ho, Yaad Ki Waadi Mein Goonje Beete Afsaane
hamsafar Jo kal The Ab Thehre Woh Begaane
mohabbat Aaj Pyaasi Hai
badi Gehri Udaasi Hai

neela Aasmaan So Gaya

Summer bhaiya, I am in love with that RFAK song. Jag Soona Soona Laage has stupendous lyrics. The song gives me goosebumps.

Main toh jiya na mara
Hai ve das main ki kara

Dil jude bina hi tut gaye hath mile bina hi chhut gaye
Ki likhe ne lekh kismet ne
Baar baar rod akhiyan tainu jo na vekh sakiyan

Hai to yeh kyun hota hai
Jab yeh dil rota hai
Roye sisak sisak ki hawayein
Jag suna lage

Chan Se jo tute koi sapna
JAg suna suna lage
Jag suna suna lage

Koi rahe na jab apna
JAg suna suna lage
Jag suna suna lage reeeeeeeee

Suna Lage Reee

Roothi rothi sari raatein
Phike Phike sare din
Virani si Virani hai
Tanhai si tanhai hai
Aur ek hum hai pyaar ke bin
Har Palchin

Chan Se jo tute koi sapna
JAg suna suna lage
Jag suna suna lage

Koi rahe na jab apna
JAg suna suna lage
Jag suna suna lage

Patharo ki is nagari mein
Pathar chehre Pathar dil
Phirta hai mara mara
Kyun rahon mein tu awara
Yahan na hoga Kuch hasil mere dil

Chan Se jo tute koi sapna
JAg suna suna lage
Jag suna suna lage

Koi rahe na jab apna
JAg suna suna lage
Jag suna suna lage

Hai to yeh kyun hota hai
Jab yeh dil rota hai
Roye sisak sisak ki hawayein
Jag suna lage

Chan Se jo tute koi sapna
JAg suna suna lage
Jag suna suna lage

Koi rahe na jab apna
JAg suna suna lage
Jag suna suna lage reeeeeeeee

Ya Rabba is another beautiful song that brings tears to my eyes:

(this version that i found has lots of typos ... sorry!)

pyaar hai ya saza, aai mere dil bata
toothta kyon nahi dard ka silsila
is pyaar mein hon kaise kaise imntihaan
ye pyaar likhe kaisi kaisi dastaan
dilbar pe ho na, dilbar pe ho na koi asar
dilbar pe ho na, dilbar pe ho na koi asar
pyaar hai ya saja, aai mere dil bata

dhadkan dhadkan bikhri ranjishein
saansein saansein tooti bandishein
kahi to har lamha honton pe fariyaad hai
dilbar pe ho na, dilbar pe ho na koi asar
dilbar pe ho na, dilbar pe ho na koi asar

koi na sune sisakati aanhon ko
koi na dhare tadapati baahon ko
aadhi aadhi puri khwaishein
tooti footi sab farmaaishein
kahin shak hain kahin nafrat ki deewaar hai
kahin jeet mein bhi shamil palpal haar hain
dilbar pe ho na, dilbar pe ho na koi asar
dilbar pe ho na, dilbar pe ho na koi asar
ho o o pyaar hai ya saja, aai mere dil bata
tootata kyon nahi dard ka silsila
ho o o o ho o o o
na poocho dard bandon se
hansi kaisi khushi kaisi
musibat sar pe rehati hain
kabhi kaisi kabhi kaisi
ho o o o... rabba, rabba ho o o ho
rabba ho o o, ho o ho rabba

@Shezu - fantastic choices. And why do you not like sad songs? I LOVE them - they are so full of emotion, so powerful, and so inspirational.

At least to me though --- lol 😆
But I'm weird like that --- all the poems that I write are sad. When my parents read some of my writing, they always ask me why my poetry is so sad --- I always tell them that happy things don't need to be written down but rather experienced, and sad things should be emoted, expressed, and thrown out the window - in my case, in writing. Anyways, I only write poems when I'm sad --- so everyone tells me that its good when I'm not writing. 😆

Anyways - point is, I love sad songs. There's so many emotions in the world - why not experience them all? What does happiness mean when you don't have sorrow to compare it off of? Right?

yeah...well I do like sad songs....I just don't like listening to them. cuz they are too good and can make you emotional without reason...to bina matlab mood kyon kharab karna?😆 I dunno...I guess I'm wierd like that...if I'm sad, sad songs will make me sadder...so I would rather listen to happy songs...and If I'm happy...then I'd like to stay happy...am I making sense?😕😆
anyways next song....switching to old songs now..
