Well, it is good not to play that sympathy card......Joyita is a clown. Debu is a little more suave. That aside his voice is shallow, most songs sung by him lack the intensity, the penetration....fairly shallow singing. He will be eliminated in the next show without a doubt. No emotion, no art.

are u partial to debojit for some vested interest. Yes. he has never palyed sympathy card like other contestatnts, he has never try to highlight himself for no reasons, never took up gimmick as solution, never passed any rude remarks on others (which people are doing so often)

And u think he lacked intensity. I think his rendition, voice control, bass, rythm is just amazing and much much better than some of other artificialy hyped contestants.
To put it simpy he sings with sur, taal and lot of passion
I am sure you miss a lot of it (sur, tal) in lo of other guys who are performing

Debu's singing is awesome. He is a very deserving candidate & I'm sure he should get lotz of praise & support. On the other hand Vineet is so much overrated. I don disagree that he sings well, but he has lotz of faults in the singing. Even than he has been hyped by Himesh (being his only participant). Debu is not receiving the praise he deserves.

Actually, there is a vital flaw in Debojit's singing which Kumar Sanu pointed out. He tends to drag out the notes too much. This is not always a good idea for certain types of songs, paricularly those set to jaunty rhythms.

Only thing I remember Kumar Sanu saying to Debu was he should rehearse the song on mike by humming and get into the rhythm before starting the song.. I am not sure if this is even allowed in a contest like SRGMP. Might be a good idea when singing live in public.. Anyway, I am not going to read too much into Sanu's observations.

Kumar Sanu knows very well that Debojit is a potential rival for him inthe near future, therefore he pulled him down. If Debojit has 2 flaws, Sanu has 10 atleast. Debojit is a low profile guy who relies only on talent, I am sure irespective of the outcome of this show, Debu will shine and make it big as a singer. His dedication and sincerety will bring him success soon. God bless Debojit.

Did you hear the Hamma Hamma song that Debojit sang in the Rehaman round? After listening to that I totallly disagree with you. Debu can sing all types of songs and carry them well.

I had observed or rather noticed this also. In other words it seemed, especially in the earlier rounds that while very melodious, his voice was like a filter smoothing out all the notes and failing to delivering the required emphasis on critical beats and notes.

But, specifically, Kumar Sanu made the following comment on Debojit's rendering of Rimjhim Gire Sawan. If a phrase goes like la la la (singing) then one not should sing it as la-la-laaaa. He also mentioned in that same context that there was a lachilapan in Kishore Kumar's singing which was missing in Debojit's version.
