You are making statements based on what you see among your folks, and that's a general statement and far away from reality. Those are not the only companies or jobs that IT people are working for, and shaking hands with Bill Gates is not a dream for a big bunch of IT folks - hence the difference.

Regarding the underlined part - do you see the same expression among all those relatives of yours? Is that why you made that statement? Well, it could be genetics for some people and they cant help it regardless of the field they are in, but I have seen enough people in IT who look normal and even more humble than non-IT folks!! And btw, when I say IT folks, I mean the people with proper CS/IT/IS educational background, and not someone who managed to obtain work in an IT company without it.
