I second that - any time! Sara was way better than Asma, I agree (in fact anyone was way better than Asma even those from the initial rounds are considered inclding the ABCDs and EBCDs), but Mitika and Naina were much better than Sara.

can i know your favourite top 3

This topic had its round already before, with top three and bottom three picks by many members. Anyway, since it is recycled, I will go with the remaining ones left.
My top three: Vaishali, Prathibha and Soumen - I am okay with either one being the winner. 😃
Debo, Yashita and Zaheer are okay. 😊
Asma - NO WAY, I have to lose my mind to say otherwise! 😉

Zaheer ko jo respect milne chahiya woh nahin milte - baray ufsos ki baat hai, humain itna tang nazar nahin hona chahiya

Please I am not trying to get in to any arguments - but due respect should be given to the talent.

I do have respect for Zaheer, and he was always my second best among the four Pakistani contestants this year. With all due respects, I cannot connect to his songs - I have been trying to feel the connection every week but in vain so far. The same problem I have with Yashita too. ...and Asma - no comments.
Either the singer should have "the" voice plus sur or "the" look plus sur on a TV show to be appealing for the audience - IMHO. Prathibha has both voice and look with sur of course; Vaishali and Soumen have the voice with sur; Asma has the look without the sur; Debo has the voice with sur often; Yashita has the voice with sur and some look too; Zaheer has the voice with sur. Despite all these, when it comes to connecting with the songs, I dont feel it for Zaheer or Yashita - no offense. It's a personal thing and I cannot force it to happen - it has to occur naturally by listening to the singer.

Yeh jitnay bhi hain in sab mein flaws hain - aur bhai appearance ka ganay sey kiya talaq hai, aur log Lataji aur Ashaji ko talent ki wajha sey pasand kartay hain appearance ki wajah sey nahin, connection usi waqt hota hai jab connect karnay ki kosish kartay hain.

Shaid isi wajah se log asma ko vote kartay hain.

Hum logoon kay zahan chotay hain
Yahan baat Pakistani singers ki nahin aur mein kabhi Pakistani singers ya Indian singers ki baat nahin karta aur mujhe yeh bhi maloom hai kay aap kabhi bhi Pakistani singer ya Indian singer ki baat nahin karogay.

Sorry if I am being harsh.

Not a problem - all the singers (contestants) you have mentioned they all have some flaws and I do not understand what appearance has to do with a singer or singing as a matter of fact. People appreciate Lataji and Ashaji because of their Talent not because of their appearance or how they look, speaking of connection you can only connect to some one when you appreciate the talent and forget about the personality.

This Saregama appears to be a popularity contest rather then singing and that is the reason why Asma has survived to date - appealing personality right?.

I am not talking about a Pakistani or an Indian singer and if that's the criteria then we are not doing any justice and I do know that even you do not discriminte on the basis of religion, region, and nationality.

Now this is an addition to my original comments

The problem is once we form an opinion then we do not want to deviate from it (no matter how they perform) - The perfect example is even after Amanat's memorable performance (Tujhe Naraz nahin) there are/were people not willing to give him a credit.

Yes Shujaat is a very good singer but he is very inconsistent and the consistency is the key to success, there is no harm in giving a credit to the talent instead of being stubborn, when you say he is ok (that means you are saying he is just average which he is not). All the remaining contestants with the exception of Asma are very talented and it is hard to tell who is the best.

Sorry if I am being a little harsh, but there is nothing personal and no hard feelings please.

Thank you, Khatarnak ji. Okay, now I get it. I believe I didnt make my earlier post clearer. The looks have nothing to do with the connection - I missed adding the exact words, but from my example you can see that I dont have any problems with Vaishali and Soumen despite their looks because I connect to their voice. Yashita is not bad looking and has a good voice but I still dont connect to her songs. Asma has the looks, but gees, I cannot connect to her at all (her Qurbani - Laila Main Laila song pushed me to tears - how bad a wonderful was butchered!)
In short, Vaishali is my favorite because of her voice quality and sur. Prathibha also won my heart, because of her voice and sur, and her looks are simple and innocent too. Debo has no looks, but some of his songs have taken a dive into my heart. Soumen's case is the same - no matter how he looks, his voice and sur will make for it. Zaheer has the voice, but he turns me off - same as Yashita. I dont know why. Even when the audience and the judges seem to be enjoying, I cannot. I wonder whether listening to his music on audio would have made any difference. There are singers whom I dont know about the looks, but still not connect to me or vice versa. There are hundreds of songs I started to like just by hearing...
Well, if I look back at C07 show, I had the same issue with Aneek and Mussarat, whereas I could connect very well to the songs of Raja, Amanat and Poonam. TRrust me, it has nothing to do with the region or religion, as there arent anyone on the show who would qualify in that category for me. I agree Shujat had some consistency issues, but I started to like him from the beginning, so it didnt matter to me much. Then there is Sara who was okay for me in the beginning and became a big turn off later. Faraz was neither in my good books nor bad books. I actually liked Farhan Zaidi more from the half dozen bunch from Pakistan - he was the 2nd runner up in SRGMP USA. The 1st runner up Jeffrey Iqbal was my all-time favourite...
BTW, a correction - when I say okay, it doesnt mean Average - it means more than Average - like Superhit or 7.5 to 8 out of 10. I apologize if I had conveyed the meaning as Average in my earlier posts. No, I have no hard feelings. We all come to this forum to discuss SRGMP related topics, and each one has personal choices and opinions the same way I do. So I dont have a problem with it. 😊 😃
