I was given VIP treatment: Priyanshi Srivastava
Iti Shree Misra, TNN | Jul 23, 2011, 01.23pm ISTFor Lucknow girl Priyanshi Srivastava, who's become popular after she made her foray on Zee TV's Li'L "Champs", it was an exciting homecoming as she was greeted warmly by her family and friends.
"I went to my school and I was given VIP treatment," says the nine-year-old. "Principal ma'am put a garland around my neck and also a tika and then I gave everyone a speech on how to be successful in life," says Priyanshi. "My friends too were so excited to see me and kept asking me questions about the celeb judges on our show and what all I got to do with them. It was great fun."
Although missing out on studies and having to face the pressure of competition everyday, both Priyanshi thinks she's lucky to have been part of such a show. "I don't think we are facing any pressure. If we hadn't participated someone else may have, it's as simple as that. Also the competition that we are facing will help us prepare for life ahead," says Priyanshi wisely, who was in Lucknow with co-contestant Anmol.
Coming home after so long, Priyanshi was thoroughly indulged by her parents. But it was Anmolwho teased her endessly. Constantly poking jibes at her, this 10-year-old Allahabad boy literally made her cry with his leg pulling and jokes. When asked why he was teasing her so, Anmol said, "Yeh to maharani ji hain. Main seedha-saadha Allahabad ka ladka, yeh Lucknow ki rani hain!"
