Dream on, my fellow INSA dreamers - An imaginary written update - one day, some day...😳
The Goswami university has learned of the news that a girl called Swetha Jha from 2nd year B.com section has tried to commit suicide. Sanchi being Sanchi, (no, not just because the elections were fast approaching) regularly pays concerned visits to the recuperating girl at the hospital. Over the course of the next two days, her repeated prodding and questioning of Swetha, barely reveals a few insights into the girl's problems
'Frightened...money...personal problems...Indu S...Singh' Swetha blabs to Sanchi
Sanchi adds two and two to make twenty two and comes to the conclusion that for whatever reason, Indu Singh must be the rogue threatening the helpless student - to such an extent that she had resorted to suicide.
No sooner than Sanchi decides to question Indu about this, she is suddenly informed that Swetha had been discharged from hospital. Her intuition irking her, Sanchi decides to dig deeper with Mehek's help. She quickly finds out that Swetha had not retuned to her hostel room, while her parents were under the impression that she was still at the hostel, that the hospital was not left a forwarding address and that none in the university knew her whereabouts.
To investigate further, Sanchi makes a thorough search of Swetha's room and discovers what looks like a kadaa. Sanchi is horrified! The piece of adornment looked familiar, but she didn't want to jump to conclusions yet!
Soon after; walking up to Indu in the canteen she observes his wrist - YES! Just as she thought, his kadaa was missing.
'Where is your kadaa' She demands of Indu
Embarrassed and confounded by the latest interrogation, (and unaware of how it had any connection to her election-obsession) Indu snubs her off 'What is it to you...you don't have to worry about my personal artefacts...you are not my real wife...'
Sanchi got her answer - he was hiding something indeed!
By the next day she had managed to stir up a storm - Sanchi and Mehek provoke the college students, incite the administration and even the authorities. They let them in on their suspicions. Within the next 24 hours, Indu is suddenly in the limelight for all the wrong reasons. He becomes furious and wants to teach his sworn enemy a lesson, but his intentions are squashed when a police inspector arrives on the spot and arrests him.
He vows yet another bout of revenge, as he is publicly dragged to the police station. Being glared at by her husband's flaming eyes all through, Sanchi decides not to reveal her fear while the tell-tale RJN TUNE plays in the background.
The next day Sanchi is back at college with her usual routine and election campaign, silently hoping the authorities would find Swetha safe and sound. However; that day, she unexpectedly comes across something that indicates to her Indu could not have kidnapped Swetha after all. On the other hand, Indu is still pacing behind bars not knowing how to get out of this problem. The fact that he got pulled into this mess thanks to Shukla and that now Shukla was nowhere to be seen, does not escape Indu's mind.
The next day Sanchi continues her investigations and unravels a few new clues that only strengthen the fact that Indu had no connection with Swetha's problems. This makes Sanchi very uneasy. How could she be wrong?
Meanwhile, Tiwari appears at the police station with a bail. The police officers do no want to let Indu go unless he reveals the whereabouts of swetha jha, Indu's hoarse screams falling upon their deaf ears. Though Tiwari is secretly elated at Indu's plight, he then tells the police officer that a bail is a bail. Indu is finally set free.
Now, he had to get back at Sanchi for ruining his election modus operandi and defaming him. Like a ravaged tiger he is on the prowl.
All through the day Sanchi's conscience had been causing havoc in her mind. However, she was Sanchi Mathur and she could not let Indu carry the blame for something he hadn't done. Finally, she decides to help Indu overcome the distress she had caused him by clearing his name. She reminds herself - if I don't do this, how could the real culprits be caught and Swetha be found.
That evening after university, Sanchi was returning home through the same hilly lanes, when she is shocked to find Indu sitting on his black bike blocking her path. As he nonchalantly removes his cooling glasses and gets off his bike, it becomes obvious that he had thought up a plan to vindicate himself and was going to subject her to it.
What happens next takes Indu by surprise. Slowly getting off her cycle, Sanchi admits to him in a low tone 'Indu Singh... I agree I might have been hasty... I have done something wrong... I realize you are not the culprit...'
He breaks out into laughter, followed by a barrage of demeaning taunts and insults. Sanchi was just forced to grit her teeth and stay quiet - the egoist had no intention of accepting an apology or relenting to her.
A brief exchange of words later, the warring pair are abruptly fronted with a silver car from where a vicious looking gang begin getting off. Studying their faces, the pair realize that the group apparently had no noble intentions in mind. Sanchi thinks they are Indu's men and Indu momentarily wonders if it was Sanchi's ploy to protect herself from him. The two throw each other suspicious glares and soon comprehend that neither had any idea about this strange mob of ruffians. Perceiving the seriousness of the situation, Sanchi and Indu are compelled to set aside their differences. Just then one of the men attempts to grab the helpless girl, when his efforts are opposed by Indu's vehement punches. While Sanchi takes cover behind him, Indu glares at the men in front and then protectively casts a sideways glance at the frightened face of Sanchi. He wasn't aware that his heart was beginning to melt at the sight of her terrified expressions. He then deftly indicates with his warm hazel eyes, asking her to stealthily hop on to the bike parked next to them.
'A known devil to an unknown one any day' she thinks to herself and then swiftly gets on the back of the bike. Indu simultaneously sits in the front. Asking Sanchi to hold on to him tight and to stay down, he whizzes past the armed group in full throttle. Barring a slash in his arm from an assailant, Indu daringly manages to dodge the remaining bullets/assaults and escapes with Sanchi from the area.
The real kidnappers of swetha had come to know what had been going on and understood that the only way their secret could stay hidden was if these two were shut up! This gang had been hired by the mastermind with strict instructions to quietly dispose Sanchi and Indu off.
Thanks to a few dark alleys and thrilling kidnapper-chases later, Indu and Sanchi eventually find themselves in a relatively unknown place - their only hope would be if they work together to escape death at the hands of the kidnappers. They had also learnt two things - one, that a few of the attackers were prowling around their mohalla waiting for them and two, the true reason and person behind Swetha's kidnapping! (Indian kidnappers always have an uncanny knack of blurting out all plans and plots openly)
They are temporarily forced to stack up together away from their homes till they were sure they had managed to get the murderers off their heels. Firstly, through a public STD they inform Tarachand/Veenaji that they are fine and that Sanchi would be away for a day or two.
'Don't worry sasuma...I've only taken your daughter for our honeymoon' Indu tells Veena in his usual roguish gaiety. He didn't want the parents to be needlessly worried. Sanchi then assures them that she was away with Indu on some important project and that they need not worry. Tarachand and Veena are flabbergasted, but their daughter was married (somewhat) and there was nothing much they could say.
Now Indu and Sanchi had to stay put, till they could safely work their way back home. Granted, they spend most of their night together sulking away, especially Indu - seeing how his political career seemed riddled with endless obstacles. Nevertheless, any time spent not sulking, Sanchi nags Indu with plans of escape. A frustrated Indu does not heed any of her plans and insults her intelligence instead - the reality being that Sanchi's plans were too risky for her own good and he could not afford to put her life at stake. It is here that Sanchi catches many glimpses of how protective Indu became of her, if and when her life was truly in danger.
'He is not as bad as I thought him to be' she finally accepts to herself
Sanchi then forces Indu to leave her company, so he could get some bandage and antiseptic from the pharmacy. Not to forget food too! Indu sets out and returns in a jiffy with the necessary items.
Later that night, observing Sanchi tending to his wound arouses quite a few tempestuous emotions in him - emotions Indu had thought he'd buried forever. However, the stubborn man swiftly subdues those feelings in him. Through their two day stay together, Indu observes things about her that forces him to reconsider his views of her - the cordial manner in which she set out their meals (it reminded him of a family-life he so missed!), they way she micromanaged the little money they had to survive on, the friendly manner in which she shared thoughts about her family and the university - It is here that Indu once again realizes why Sanchi had been his one and his only love.
Obviously following a few more thrills, chases and hushed plots - probably a disguise involved in it too...the pair eventually make their way home in a day or two...
And the next couple of days, the two start working together jointly in getting back at the actual mastermind behind the plan - Sanchi to clear Indu's name, Indu to save Sanchi's life. It's only when Guddu and Mehek remind them about the elections, that they realize that they had forgotten about their obsession for the upcoming elections - Now that had to ring bells! Something had to have changed!
My... can you imagine AD doing all these scenes.. how he feels bad, how he grudgingly owns up to his mistakes, how he become possessive/protective of his girl where a villain were to lay their eye/hand on her... if only if only
