and this question that you have put across has been ringing in my head since day 1.. why can't ANYONE JUST ANYONE tell that silly idiot that you cant force someone to love you..the more you do so, the other person will just run away (exactly like he does to roop now)

and from yesterday's scene what i felt about indu's reaction was that he was simply non-reactant to roop's fury... i think that even though he didnt expect the attack then, he was able to relate to her dejection (though he couldnt/didnt want to do anything about it)

I was thinking about Roop throwing the chilli powder and what it signified if anything and I had a somewhat weird view on it. What if Roop was marking Indu as a married man? Just like by putting sindoor on Sanchi, Indu was declaring that she could now never be anyone else's, Roop by ranting at Indu about how she could never be his as he was married, signified that by 'sindoorifying' him.

And the fact that Indu yelled in pain as he was 'sindoorfied' showed how he too will suffer, as Sanchi did by forcing this marriage. Also Indu only stepped through the dais of his 'house', after he had been marked as a married man, he left single and returned as a 'suhagan' lol.

I think the fact Roop threw the powder also linked in nicely with what Sanchi said about how some women are shackled by wearing sindoor. Why do women only have to wear the marks of marriage in society? If Indu has forced this marriage, and forcibly stamped his name on Sanchi, then she too should be shown to forcibly mark him as hers. Only then will that duffer understand truly the pain he caused her.

@suki11 wow ! very unique take on d scene ! But I thought Roop threw red chili powder at Indu's face - not sindur ?! ... This scene actually reminded me of a very important scene from Ketan Mehta's 1987? film 'Mirch Masaala' ! ... There too , d women of d village , use chili powder as a weapon against d evil Kotwaal , n defeats him n his army !! ... May b Roop's action is symbolic of what is in store for Indu ... when Sanchi's "Naari-Shakti" finally rises against him ... 😉
