In this scenerio what Palak did was wrong she did that first. Ishika calling Roop an idiot was wrong too. But overall the topic maker was talking about Palak so yes i said it was childish.
As for defending Ishika. I wil defend her if she needs to be defended (not excusing her) because i also see her pov too esp when it seems few ppl here have completely put the blame on her to an extent and somehow misinterpreted THIS scene. And the misunderstanding that Ishika has about Roop is due to that incident of seeing that guy and girl and she misread the situation. But Ishika was not wrong in defending a women's honour and standing up to the boy, Ishika badmouthing Roop was wrong because of her misunderstanding.
Another reason i will try and defend Ishika because i find some comments putting her down, also alittle harsh on Ishika (again talking from her pov and both pov of characters) sometimes i have to think that ppl here who don't like Donal, seem to have this extreme reaction to putting Ishika down to certain level in the way they say the blame should be on her and that's it, thats how it coming across.
As for calling Roop and Ishika fans, or anyone who likes Roop and Ishika, being obsessed - i find that rather rude and labelling a certain fans.
As for Palak and Roop story... some people maybe made an assumption that the story in the future will be Palak and Roop because they were childhood friends etc, but nothing in the show has made that hint (neither the show made a typical story or hints of how two kids loved each other seperated and back again), We just assumed it will be RP, even i did.
But here the show is taking another route and brought someone else who might be suitable for Roop in the long run NOT just looks wise but personality too and so on, as we get to know Ishika along the way, and it is not about who is beautiful and less beautful, what matters is character (personality and development) and how they are presented in narrative with hints/foreshadowing & scenes wise (also in a pairing too).
I like Palak, who is a friend to Roop, i like their friendship and banter, and comes across all bubbly and so on, and supportive.
I like Roop and Ishika due to what i am seeing on-screen and their scenes and build up and two characters personality. Not cos one is so beautiful etc.
And also i like BOTH Shashank and Donal... not just one person and somehow that one person is inferior. Chandani also suits her role as Palak
How about we stop misreading and misterpreting scenes and see both povs.
