He wanted diya's happiness and so he was the one to go to abhay and convince him for marriage but ratan too was not aware of abhay's intentions ,for him also it came as a big shock but why sajjan Singh blaming him and screaming at him.

As a father can understand his plight seeing his daughter being ditched and humiliated like that on wedding day especially when for so long he has been dreaming of seeing that very daughter getting happily settled in her life but other than that wasn't it diya's parents duty as well to go and meet abhay once personally and find out if he is OK with this marriage, ratan came and told them that he has talked to abhay so they too were happy with it, they assumed that now everything will be good but as parents it is their duty as well to check on the groom once because her father had fixed the alliance 12 years back so how come it dint stuck him once that maybe in these 12 years a lot might have changed so let me just check and confirm once and then proceed, ratan has done what he wanted as a friend but as a father he too should do his duty.

I dint like that screaming on ratan much as if he is responsible for all the mess happening

Off topic: Rohit is doing his job fantastic but his character needs little mature. I'll blam story writer . Not every time but most of the time he should protect Diya because she did lot for him, Now it is time for him to return . I'm sure that TRP will be high
