That seems to be the only progressive option that o can think of at the moment. Wonder why else will a strong go getter like Diya let herself be pushed into marrying a kid!

Feel the CVS have driven themselves into a corner... Hope the marriage happens soon.

This! True! I would like to see how they show it. They are leaving subtle clues like how Diya has put her duty first and left the personal feeling when she was 18. For a promise. She have kind of promised to fulfil her "duty as daughter" (I find this mentality highly repulsive though) and sacrifice her personal preference.

I AMMM... Totally!! A HARDCORE ONE. πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ

A big fan of Manasi and Neil

Gulaal is the one and only reason I am watching this show. That's also the only show that I have watched on repeat. You wont believe me... I read all the posts in that forum so many times. Sadly I could only watch it on low quality print in Daily Motion. Watched and read about it last year. Dont get me started on Gulaal... πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜† I will never stop.

I strongly feel the inspiration for this show is Gulaal. It was a big blow for the CVs to change the child marriage plot. The story went for a toss there.. They need to come back to the marriage and make it look like another deal for the future.

Plus there need to be a Kabab mein haddi between DiRa. A girl for Ratan for sure. Abhay if turned Negative cannot be the haddi. Lets see where the makers go they have the option to go the Gulaal route or an out and out TRP route.

But you know what... I miss JK here... we need someone like JK in this show with the punch dialogues... KM has been turned into a mother. Wonder who the antagonist is going to be in Kesar Mehal.

The show is purely based on regressive views. If not, where is the problem in a younger man marrying a older woman.

That theme is the villain of this story.

I would look at it from a different angle. As things stand she has missed her family very badly and wants to give that relation priority. This story is set in a regressive society... if the society were progressive then Diya can fall in love with Ratan and marry him. If things work they stay married if not divorce and move on.

But I am assuming they are in a village and marrying the daughter is the biggest responsibility of a father towards his daughter. And in this kind of a society a 30 yr old unmarried daughter is Taboo for the parents.

According to the parents, they are moving towards where it all started. Diya's wedding to Abhay was already fixed when Diya was just 18. Only change is Abhay is now 12 years older and has turned bad πŸ˜†πŸ˜†.

So from Diya's POV she is going to do a Diyarvattu of sorts and marry Ratan, with his concent. She has married him multiple times already, one more pretend marriage is going to do them no harm. But this time it is to give her family, time, to cool down and then think about divorcing Ratan. Marry with Ratan's consent and divorce without his consent πŸ˜†πŸ˜†. Am sure Diya and Ratan would have this agreed upon.

That would be a fun track. But will cvs go that route?

Logic, Reason, women's rights... all shows start with these in ITV but eventually loose speed and we go back to regressiveness and trp business. But Sony comparatively keeps the regressive ideas somewhat toned down. That is why I love the Sony shows!!

We should take our bottle of bagpiper and sit once separately and talk just Gulaal then! :-D

I was not on IF when it was aired. I have watched in then. First for Rahil Azam (Vasant) but stopped after the death and then post leap, after watching the famous "Pareshani" scene in passing. :-D (that was the first time, I saw Neil Bhatt)

And yes, now we are reduced to watch the poor quality Daily motion stuff. Thanks to Star!

Yes. But I do not do much of the IF stuff there. Will DM you. :-D

On other note, the actors there were amazing. And the writing. The complexity of the situation was much more than just woman being older.

I guess anything which portrays impossible romance or unattainable love intrigues me! :-D
