Part 2
Ananya woke up when Kabir tried moving her hair out of her face. But she was too happy lying in his arms. Instead of opening her eyes she only snuggled closer to him. She felt at home as he tightened his grip around her.
She replayed the events from yesterday in her head. She had been working on a report when Baby had suddenly come out of the PCR yelling that Kabir was trying to molest her. Shreya had gotten involved and had insulted Kabir, using the choiciest of words at her disposal. She had then turned towards her in an attempt to instigate her against Kabir.
Ananya (thinks): How foolish is she? Does she really think that I'd doubt my Kabir?!
When Shreya hadn't succedded she had brought in the companies HR policies to get Kabir suspended. Kabir had been in so much pain. Her first instinct had been to run after Kabir and to comfort him. But she knew she had to play smart to defeat Shreya at her own game. She had run to Ronnie to gain access to the CCTV footage of the PCR room. The footage had proved what she had always known. Baby had put a false allegation on Kabir to cover up for her own mistakes.
Armed with the proof of his innocence she had gone to Kabir's house. The sight she saw broke her heart. Kabir was sitting on the floor with a bottle of whiskey in his hands waiting to fall prey to his old demons again. She had run towards him and had held his hand to stop him.
Ananya: What are you doing?
Kabir: that's none of your business! Are you here to ask me the same questions? Tell me what a horrible man I am... Unworthy of love... Unworthy of..
Ananya (thinks):OMG this man actually thinks that I dont believe him.
She had known that words wouldn't be enough today and had stopped his rampage by kissing him and hugging him tightly. He had tried pushing her away. But she had held onto him muttering sweet nothings into his ear doing her best to calm him down. She had begun speaking only after he had calmed down.
Ananya: I never doubted you. Not for one moment. I was in office going over the CCTV footage of the PCR. Ronnie and I made a duplicate copy before Shreya destroys it. This is the proof of your innocence.
She had handed him a memory card.
Kabir: My innocence?! I always have to keep proving it. Justifying myself. Overcoming accusations.
He had laughed cynically before allowing tears to flow freely from his eyes. She had died a million deaths seeing him in so much pain. She had decided to literally soothe his pain away.
She had cupped his face and had slowly begun kissing away all the tears.
Ananya (softly): To the world unfortunately you do. To me, never.
Those words had broken down the last of his barriers. He had hugged her tightly and had begun kissing her all over passionately. She had been surprised by his passion but had done her best to keep up. He had pinned her to the wall and had begun nuzzling his face in the crook of her neck.
Before she could process anything he had picked her up and had placed her gently on the sofa. His own movements were fierce and passionate as he placed himself on top of her.
He had begun moving his hands under her shirt while continuing to kiss her. She had been trying her best to keep up with him but it was happening all too quickly for her. She had never even had a boyfriend before Kabir. While she was enjoying everything that Kabir was doing, she needed time to process his actions and her emotions.
Ananya: Kabir! STOP. This is too fast. Slow down.
He had stopped immediately. His face had been marred with guilt.
Kabir: I am so sorry! I crossed the line! Please forgive me. Don't be angry.
He had stormed out of the flat, not paying heed to Ananya's frantic cries asking him to stop. Ananya had stood there frozen. By the time she had collected himself and had run outside, Kabir and his car were far gone.
Ananya (thinks): Why couldn't you have been more tactful? It sounded like you felt that he was forcing himself on you. Did you see the look on his face?
She had spent the next half hour calling Kabir frantically. She had just decided to call khurana when she got a call from Kabir.
Kabir: Hello!
Ananya: Are you crazy Kabir Sharma? You had me worried sick! Come back this instant.
Kabir: You aren't angry with me.
Ananya: For running away like that, of course I am. For everything that happened before that, of course not. Now come home.
Kabir had told her that it would take him 20 minutes to get home. She had used this time to process her own thoughts.
Am I ready to take this relationship to the next level?
I had always promised myself that I'd only be a one woman man.
Am I sure that Kabir is the one?
And her mind and her heart had told her yes in unison. Conflict resolved, she had decided to make their first night special.
She had spent the remaining time dimming the lights of the house. She had found candles in his drawer and had lit the bedroom in their light.
Next she had slowly undressed herself and had covered herself with a sheet.
She had felt a whirl of emotions as she waited on the bed. Nervousness. Excitement. Anticipation.
As the lock of the door clicked she had felt her heart skip a beat. A few minutes later Kabir had entered the room.
The look of surprise, joy and immense love on Kabir's face had removed all her residual doubts.
Ananya: Now stop gawking at me and come closer.
Kabir had walked up to her.
Kabir: Ananya you don't have to...
Ananya: You are right. I don't have to. I want to. I had only asked you to slow down, not stop altogether.
Kabir: Are you sure?
Ananya: 100%.
She had paused for a moment before continuing.
Ananya: It's my first time. You'll have to guide me.
But then that's what you have been doing since we met.
And she had winked at him. That was all the assurance that he had needed.
He had undressed himself quickly. She was sure that she had gawked at him.
This perfect man with his perfect body was hers. To love and cherish foever.
He had slipped under the sheet and had gently placed himself next to her her. Despite her intentions she had felt very nervous and inexperienced. He had begun kissing every part of her body almost reverentially. She had found herself become comfortable quicly, pulling him closer to herself. When their bodies had finally become one she had experienced pure bliss.
When they were finally satisfied and exhausted he had held her protectively in his arms, looking at her anxiously.
Kabir: I hope I didn't hurt you.
Ananya: Not at all. You just completed me.
His face had broken into the trademark smile he reserved for. Part flirtatious. Part charming. Part vulnerable.
That had been the most magical night of her life. And his too.
