Before I dive into the topic of my post, some words about the Friday episode..
There were two wonderful scenes, one between Ananya & her mom, another between Kabir & Tarini. Both the scenes were insightful and portrayed two brilliant relationships. Ananya & her mom, a mother always knows her child, how true it is.. Mothers always have such instinctive knowledge of the children and when a mother doesn't judge, but provides her shoulder to cry, what more a daughter can ask her. Ananya is indeed blessed to have such a wonderful mother. Ananya acknowledges her feelings for Kabir and probably confirms the worst fears of her mother, but her mother chose to not delve into her worries at the moment, but instead support her daughter in her confusion & suffering. But can a mother only be a silent support system? I think mothers cannot really stop themselves from wanting to correct what is going wrong with their children, Ananya's mother is keeping silent and giving space, but it is not going to last long, that too when Ananya herself acknowledged that she doesn't want feel this way, but her heart is not listening to her. But will she try to push Ananya into accepting Ronnie? I doubt that, I think she is mature enough to know that jumping into another relationship is not a solution to overcome the conflicting emotions.
Coming to Kabir - Tarini.. It is amazing to see these two, only very few relationship can have these kind of openness. To demand and expect from another person, you need to be so sure of that person & your place in his / her life. It was refreshing to see Tarini getting irritated with Kabir for forgetting about Anurag's proposed stay with him, that shown the comfort level in their friendship and it also given a hint of what a friendship means to Kabir. It becomes more obvious now why Kabir expected Ananya to visit him at hospital, because that is the kind of friendship he is familiar to with Tarini, the one where friends are taken for granted to be there for each other at their time of need.
In my post on Thursday episode, I expressed my worry about the possibility of Kabir giving too much leeway to Malvika in his attempt to prove a point to Ananya. Thankfully, he stopped before going too far, and he looked disgusted with himself for going even this far. And a very clear message to Malvika that he isn't interested,. Good :)
Kabir Sharma was somewhat back in control atleast on the professional front. Yup, time does heal, if not heal, atleast it helps to have a semblance of control ;), or is it the 2 evenings he spent with Makvika that acted as cold shower? ;). Khalid's reaction to Kabir picking Ananya to cover Nalini Verma's story, Interesting Very Interesting ;)
Ananaya wanting to quit, quiet understandable, but I still feel she isn't affected too much by Malvika's show-off & taunts, perhaps it is somewhere helping her to reiterate her opinion of Kabir being a womaniser, but I think she is not completely convinced by the act. Richa for a change gave some sane advice, and Trisha was cute when she promised to set things alright between Ananya & Ronnie. The best part of the scene is Ananya's dialogue of life and happiness existing only outside of KKN ;). She was too cute for words when she said that, but dear girl, let's see how fast you eat your own words when you hookup with our Editor-In-Chief :), then all the life & happiness would reside solely inside KKN ;).
Kabir - Ananya scene, guess it was added to quench the romance thirst of audience ;). Cute one indeed. Just like how Kabir always being a bit unprofessional with Ananya, Ananya too can't be within the boundaries of a subordinate, who questions her boss about the job assigned to her, and asks him to give it to someone else, especially when you have nothing better to do anyway, Only our Ananya could do it ;). Kabir in his full on Editor-In-Chief mode, reminded her who is the boss around there ;), but still offered an explanation in an offhanded way. Yup, this is the Kabir Sharma I wish to see.. Btw, no one seems to have noticed the glance he gave to Ronnie & Ananya when he talked about love.
The last scene between Nalini & Ananya, Ananya is still cribbing about the assignment ;). I wanted to say 'You grow up Girl'. She has to remember the way Malvika kept her useless when Kabir was away and be thankful to be back in the scheme of things. Yup, she is just in a mood to crib about anything & everything :). The dialogues were good in the scene, but I actually couldn't connect with the scene, it seemed totally flimy for me to have a best selling author starts giving love gyan within moments of meeting someone new, and also the question to Ananya about her love life, nope, not able to relate, too unrealistic for me..
Talking about the awareness & acknowledgement of emotions, Ananya seems to be aware of what she feels for Kabir and she very much acknowledges them with herself and with others too, but she is not in peace with them, she is conflicted about them, she is wishing that she doesn't feel them, why? All because she is not sure of the person for whom she has these conflicting feelings for, she still doesn't know the man and she thinks he may not be worth these feelings. In that sense, though she is aware of her feelings, her lack of awareness about the man holds her back. In no way, I undermine her feelings, but the feelings still not reached the completeness because of her lack of understanding of the man,.
On the other hand, Kabir. Is he aware of his feelings? Contrary to popular opinion, I think he is. He has better understanding of the woman he had fallen for, and he knows why he had fallen for her, what attracted him to her, his feelings are more mature that way. But he doesn't want to acknowledge the feelings, because even before he could fully comprehend his feelings, he was bombarded with the fact there is another man in the picture. When Ronnie hinted about his feelings for Ananya, Kabir was still at an unclear stage about his own feelings, and before he could name his growing fondness for her, he came to know about Ronnie's feelings and also the possibility that Ananya might also reciprocate Ronnie. And this realisation is not letting him accept his feelings. In the meanwhile, he also heard her referring him as womaniser, and now he is not even sure whether he ever really knew her. Kabir is hurt by Ananya's words & the thought process behind them, whereas he is not acknowledging his feelings because the possibility of her romantic relationship with Ronnie. These are two different entities. But with the new knowledge of what he thinks her opinion of him, even if he comes to know that Ananya doesn't love Ronnie, he wouldn't want to acknowledge his feelings, because the trust in his own feelings is shaken up now. For any progress in his side, the first thing that need to be cleared is Ananya's opinion of him and his hurt feelings & pride would not let him clear that himself.
His chat with Tarini, he didn't actually try to hide anything from her.. Infact even before she started probing, he let out his frustration about not wanting to get close to someone else for the sake of pushing away someone. That confession came out of him so naturally, again it shows the strength of his friendship with Tarini, he doesn't need to hide his thoughts with her.. I kind of felt envious of that friendship for a moment, how nice to have someone with whom you don't need to carefully choose your words,. Whatever he said to Tarini, it was all known to us already, why he was flirting with Malvika, how much he felt hurt by Ananya, etc, we just got our verbal confirmation, no less it was from the horse's mouth itself ;). About his reputation as womaniser, we never got anything to prove or disprove the gossip, we had seen him flirt with more than one woman, sometimes outrageously as in the case of Bhavna Shroff, but we haven't seen him doing anything other than flirt either, and his relationship with Tarini was always shown to be platonic. But now we got a verbal conformation on that aspect too, that he isn't a womaniser, but he just doesn't care enough about anyone (except Ananya now) to change the opinion or give explanations. There is another unspoken message I got from this scene, may be I am reading too much into it, but somewhere I feel, he is over the past failed relationship, It doesn't bother him anymore, except for the shadow it it casting on Ananya's opinion of him, and what it means? It could mean he is ready for a new love, new life ;)
As I mentioned before, if Kabir understands Ananya, why doesn't he understand that the love seen in her eyes is for him and not for Ronnie? I think, there is a lot of complications here, for one, Kabir does know for sure of Ronnie's feelings for Ananya and from Ananya's side, he knows she is very comfortable with Ronnie, Moreover, he had seen Ananya looking at Ronnie with longing and pain, not just that he had also seen her chasing after him. But yes, if Ananya loves Ronnie, why Ronnie is having that long face? Will our smart & cut throat journalist think about it? If he does, he might come up with an altogether different explanation (than what we all want him to realise). What if he thinks Ananya's budding friendship and probably her hero worship for him (Kabir) had become a hindrance in Ronnie- Ananya relationship? He could assume that may be Ronnie misunderstand Ananya's feelings for Kabir and because of that they had a tiff, that would even explain Ananya's outburst in his cabin, maybe she was upset with her fight with Ronnie and she was just unloading them on Kabir? Can't he think like this? If he does, what will he do? Will he try to talk to Ronnie and bridge the gap between the two, afterall he does care for Ananya.. And if he does talk to Ronnie, what will be Ronnie's reaction? Will he blurt out the truth then? ;). Ok, I am speculating, none of it might happen in the show, but it is fun to speculate. ;).
