has anyone watched 'the newsroom'? It's an American drama with the newsmaking procedures as their backdrop. The characters are soo well defined that it makes me wanna cry when I watch reporters..
Not complaining, or comparing, but that's the level of skill and research that goes/should go into a show like this..
Of course, the makers of reporters have refuted claims that it's a remake.. They intend to modify it to suit Indian audiences, and establish a romantic relationship between the leads, which wasn't one of the high-points of the American version..
I agree, Rajeev and Kritika have nailed it, with their performances so far.. Esp, Kritika, coz we all knew Rajeev was going to ace it..
Haven't watched time bomb, but LRL was sheer genius.. It remains one of my favorite shows till date.. And Capt. Rajveer, my teen crush.. 😉
So, yes.. They gotta focus more on the process, rather than rushing the story and getting to the end.. We now know Kabir's attitude towards newsmaking, but now we need to know why.. Was he always like that, or the greed for power has changed him?
They really should use both RK and Kritika to their max potential, coz they're both show stealers.. I really hope we're not left hanging in the middle..
Then again, it's too early to judge.. Perhaps the coming week might expose their strengths and weaknesses better..
P.S. U were at the Humsafars forum right? (Again, no comparisons but if there's one thing the CVs of that one know and get right time and again, is character sketches.. Unparalleled..) 😉
