Episode II : 14 April 2015.

The episode begins with the security guard who was ticked off by Kabir Sharma confronting Ananya and Sunny as they were running away from the scene. Ananya and Sunny are soon encircled by goons. Finding herself outnumbered, Ananya swung into action...she started building up a fake story...blaming Sunny for missing the rabbit they were searching for...she goes on to say if they had got a picture right, they would have got 20 marks...Not fooled by the story the guard demands for the camera...He blames the press to sneak in at places unwarranted and asks them to hand over the camera.
Taking cue from Ananya, Sunny too plays on...He calls her Didi and starts lamenting about losing the camera...Ananya pitches in that they had nothing to do with Press and that they were doing a college project, came over in search of a sunhara keeda'. Sunny joins in to say that papaji (their Dad) would be upset...All their labor in weaving stories about the college project, shooting pictures of animals was in vain...The guard continued to demand for the camera.
Ananya finally gives in and says she will hand over the chip from the camera that had all the pictures of the private property...once the chip was handed over all the pictures would also be theirs. She takes out the chip from the camera hands it over and both of them scoot from the place.
Out on the street they stop to catch their breath, and Ananya apologises for having lost the chip and all the information with it... Sunny was not to be fooled, he said he knew that the whole drama was to get out of the place and that she had a plan. Ananya had changed the chip, handed over only a fake one to the security.
Happy at their breakthrough, Ananya admits that she felt her decision to choose this profession and dream to become a world class reporter was right. This would be one of her path breaking footage.
At the KKN channel office everyone gathers to check out the footage and is happy at this memorable news. Her colleagues at the channel office laud her for the dramatic news. Once telecast they would become superstars in the media they said.
Malvika (is the channel owners daughter) also appreciated her Good job Ananya' she says.
Thank you Maam'' Ananya responds.
Malvika...is the name...thats what my parents call me' she retorts...'Am no teacher here'she quips...
Ya Malvika...' Ananya replies.
The Editor-in-chief also appreciated Ananya.
One of the channel members (yet to get all the names well sorry about that) wants to telecast the news at the 10 pm slot and the others agree. Richa who was to present the news live had not turned up. XXX gets up to present the news. He steps out of the room and makes a phone call. He calls a number and informs that there is a sensational news of Chaturvedi the minister, if telecast it would not be fair. As he completes the call Malvika comes over and wants to know what was that he was talking. He says it was a move to get closer to the Editor in Chief's position. If there is pressure Bhaskar would not be able to telecast the news and Khalid will not spare him. This way Bhaskar the Editor in Chief would be out of the Channel. Malvika ponders while Manav walks away.
Ananya is seen sharing the entire story with Bhaskar and hands him the correct chip. At that moment Bhaskar gets a calls from someone and is worried. He tells Ananya to send Malvika to his office. He then turns to Ananya and asks her the definition of TRUTH.
TRUTH was Money, Power and Influence...he tells Ananya. Without these TRUTH has no meaning'.
Ananya is perplexed. What are we doing here then ? she asks Bhaskar.
We are all pawns of a big game he said and walks away.
Ananya is lost in thought.
Kabir Sir would not have played the game this way she quips to herself.
Kabir is seen reading some news in the paper ...which is the same news about Chaturvedi. The news is all set to hit the stands at the News paper office.
PanditJi the Newspaper owner asks Kabir if the news was headlines or he was trying to send someone a message. You have published headlines before and differently, but this time its more a message of what you can do.
You know everything Panditji, Kabir tells him.

At the Channel office Ananya is asking Ronny (I think that's the name) to give a hard hitting title for the news ...like...Raat Ke Muhurat Mein Muh Kaala...Ronny is impressed and gets to work. In walks Malvika and asks them to stop and not publish the news...Ronny and Ananya are surprised...and asks why ????
Such news is a threat for the Channel, she tells them and walks away leaving Ronny and Ananya shocked.

Ananya reaches home dejected. As she is about to open the fridge door she finds some movements in another room and goes to the room...Ananya's mother was arranging clothes in a cupboard. Finding Ananya there she starts talking. Armaan (Ananya''s brother) waited for her so long and slept off. Meanwhile she thought she could arrange her father's clothes...coz when her father returns he would not like a messy cupboard.
Ananya is upset, holds her mom's hand, helps her sit on the bed and says if Dad returns after so many years he is not going to get upset.
What do you think, he will return, right ?'' Her mom questions.
Of course he will return 'Ananya assures her mother. She then bids her mother good night and sends her off to sleep.
Ananya returns to her table and is lost in thought.
She pulls out her Dad's picture and speaks to him. Its 8 years since you left but things are just the same. People are still struggling to find the meaning of TRUTH she talks to the picture.
It's the next day morning and Ananya is sleeping at her table. Her Mom gets her the newspaper and a cup of tea. She asks where Armaan was. Armaan has gone off to college her mother tells and goes off to make some breakfast for her. Ananya says she does not want any breakfast.
Its then that she notices the same news (about Chaturvedi) in the newspaper and is happy. Kabir Sharma shared the same news that she was working on. This was a matter of pride for her. Ananya is very happy and tells her Mom she will have Aaloo Paratha for breakfast.
She tells her Mom...this was poetic justice...Truth cannot be defeated. She was thrilled that the news has been flashed and the minister would get punished.
Ananya gets a call from Ronny asking her to go to Delhi Pragathi newspaper office, as there were some issues. Miscreants had vandalised the office and created trouble. He said he would send Sunny across too.
At the Newspaper office, its chaos...police is also there. Kabir Sharma is trying to sort things out. Police wants to know if they plan to report the incident and if so against whom.
Kabir Sharma asks the police who they suspect, Chaturvedi or the newspaper team ? Then he finds a lady in tears at the happenings and walks up to her. He tries to cheer her up and the police look on.
Kabir walks back to his room putting things back in place when Panditji walks in. He was looking out for his phone and Panditji returns it back to him.
Panditji asks Kabir why he was so eager to get to the news channel. He says I don't want to join the channel but look forward to running the channel.
Kabir goes on to say that he was what he was only under Panditji's blessings...but in the changing world one has to change too. He says he wanted to do this to gain power. The same news if flashed in news channels would have created sensation, today newspaper still remains a very emotionless media for news.
He gets a call from Khalid and smiles.
Ananya and Sunny are at the newspaper office trying to get some recording. The media are flocking the place and police blocking them. Meantime Ananya spots Kabir Sharma walking out of the office. He stops just where Ananya was standing and continues to talk on the phone. Ananya is dumbstruck seeing her role model and is unable to ask anything.
Sunny is irritated as to why Ananya did not ask Kabir anything when this was a golden chance. She said she just could not talk seeing him so close.
At the Channel office, Khalid walks in to Bhaskar's office with the newspaper and shows him the headlines. He says this was a breaking news which Bhaskar refused to telecast this morning. Bhaskar says he would speak to KL. Khalid is livid, and informs Bhaskar that he runs the channel...he is answerable to KL and cannot tolerate any shortcomings...he hands him the contract and asks him to quit before he is fired from the channel.
He demands a resignation from Bhaskar immediately and leaves.
Khalid and Malvika are in the videoconferencing room talking to KL. Malvika is preoccupied. Kl asks Malvika if she was in agreement to Khalid's proposition of bringing Kabir Sharma to the channel and she replies Yes. At the same time Kabir is seen in the office and walking into the same room.
As the last and concluding scene, Kabir is seen packing his stuff. He takes ashirwad from Panditji and is walking out all set to join KNN Channel as the Editor-in-Chief.
As he leaves he asks Panditji a pertinent question. The same that everyone reverberates.

Precap : Ananya is overwhelmed ...confused how to face Kabir Sharma...how to introduce herself...she is talking to herself and bangs into Kabir Sharma himself who was seen talking to Khalid and Malvika. Malvika introduces Ananya as a junior reporter. Kabir turns to look at her and retorts...Kahlid you have very clumsy and amateur reports who are unable to even speak ...if I knew this would be the state of the channel I would have thought over twice before joining...leaving Ananya shocked.
Note : I am into WU for the first time so not sure how this has come out. Please share feedback on improvizations and will work on it.
