Seen playing the role of Shreya, the gorgeous Ankita Bhargava who entered the show Reporters on Sony TV recently has been appreciated for his acting skills and performance in the show. Her entry marked a twist in the storyline which has been grabbing viewers' eye balls.

Unlike her previous done shows, Ankita Bhargava has a different look in Reporters which has been liked and praised by the audience. Well not only the viewers but Ankita too likes her look in the show, "Initially when I was told about my look in the show, I found it very clich because it was the same old thing being repeated for the actresses playing grey characters onscreen. But they told me to have a trust factor and once I saw the look, I was surprised. I like the sarees that I have been given, they are modern and very elegant, and I like my look in the show."

Furthermore she elaborates her joy being a part of Reporters, "This show is unlike the daily soap on television. It has a crisp storyline and I really like the concept and the packaging. I have been a follower of the show and I am glad that I got the opportunity to be a part of it."

Ohh! I am a big time foodie and also a pure vegetarian.

Spring Roll

Pratap's The Dhaba (Oshiwara)

Obviously it has to be a disastrous one with me around; well they are many but the latest one is when I was preparing a fruit salad and instead of chat masala I sprinkled Chai Ka masala on it.

Cornflakes.

If you had to take a celebrity on a date, who would it be?

Ranbir Kapoor, this would sound funny but I see glimpse of Ripu (Ripu Daman Handa) in him.

Pretty girl Ankita Bhargava who is currently seen on Sony TV's Reporters has turned a year older today. Yes, Ankita is celebrating her birthday today and last night she got a nice surprise birthday party arranged by her hubby Karan Patel.

Workaholic Ankita is having a working birthday today. In a conversation with TellyBuzz, Ankita shares more about her last night's surprise bash and her plans for the evening.

Ankita shares, "Last night I had a surprise birthday party that was planned by Karan. He was planning for this surprise from almost a week by getting in touch with our parents. Both the families helped Karan in arranging this party for me. Yesterday I was supposed to be shooting till late but Karan spoke to Goldie Behl and asked him for leaving me early so that I can make it to the party on time. I was told by my family that we are going for a dinner and I was taken to the venue. My father in law opened the door for me and it was darkness all around. When the lights were turned on, I saw that all my family members, my close friends, my colleagues from Reporters and the entire Ye Hai Mohabbatein family (Divyanka Tripathi, Aly Goni, Anita Hasnandani, Ekta Kapoor and many more) were present there. It was the most unexpected surprise for me."

Talking about her plans for today, Ankita adds, "I like to work on my birthday so I am shooting today. In the evening, I will have a quiet family dinner."

When we asked Ankita about any special gifts she has received or planning to gift for herself, she told us, "I have planned a gift for myself. I have decided to quit Twitter and that's my birthday resolution. I don't have time and it's an unreal world. I am done with it and I think that it's a part of growing up. It's just a virtual site and it has nothing to do with my existence and my decisions. Twitter hasn't made me what I am today; I am what I am today. That's my birthday gift for myself."

TellyBuzz wishes Ankita a very Happy Birthday and a great year ahead!

I don't enjoy saas-bahu dramas: Kritika Kamra

She has essayed a doctor, been a narrator for a cyber crime show, and is currently seen as a journalist in a TV show. Kritika Kamra says she prefers content-driven projects over "saas-bahu dramas".

"When I'm associated with a show, I want to be a part of something that I would enjoy watching. I can't be a part of something that drags. I don't enjoy the saas-bahu dramas... I don't watch it (and) I'm not that audience," Kritika told on the phone from Mumbai.

She said there is an audience like her that is constantly looking for differentiated content on Indian television.

"And there is such less to choose from," added the actress, who has received a Cyber Celebrity Award for hosting the show "MTV Webbed".

She says she enjoys playing a variety of roles as it helps her to "learn something and get to be a part of a new world, reinvent and be different".

The 26-year-old stressed that her motive is to be in shows which are high on "content", rather than being high on TRPs (Television Rating Points).

"My whole idea is that I want to be a part of the shows that are remembered for the quality of content...and not remembered for the TRPs."

Her ongoing show "Reporters" is soon going to get wrapped up. "It was supposed to be a finite series," she said.

Kritika is "glad" that the show is a finite series because "it comes to a logical conclusion and it doesn't go on for years and leaps happen and (the story gets) dragged."

In "Reporters", Kritika shares screen space with Rajeev Khandelwal.

There seems to be a lot of confusion so putting it to rest #Reporters was meant to be a finite series and will end as always planned

I have been getting a lot of queries about when the show Reporters is ending. So let me put all your queries to rest...

Rajeev Khandelwal @RK1610IsMe Aug 15

The show was designed to be a limited series of 120 episodes. It may go a little over that. But not beyond 130 for sure. Thanks for the love.
