Your description of emotions is pretty good. You however concentrate more on the plot & action rather than emotions. It's good otherwise all the fan fics would end up being the same.
Fortunately all the fanfic writers have compketely different styles of writing, presentation, character plots,etc. so it all makes for good reading!
