he started loving tia but that was not his 1st or sole objective. yeah i agreed that he was in two minds forever because it was very difficult to choose among the two most imp objectives in his life. its a very gutsy decision. just put urself in that situation. thats why he was always confused. and he didn't tell tia not because he was in a fear of loosing her but he didn't want to reveal about the revenge otherwise it would be useless. anyhow he was going to loose tia because he know that at sometime she would come to know about the secret revenge
but the uv's case is different. he didn't had the pressure of taking revenge for his father's death but the pressure of cds in the beginning and ashi's later on. at that time i don't think there was any fight going on between him and ashi for which he could play with ashi's sentiments. ofcourse she looks full of life but she also has sentiments.
