I really like QSQT as well as DDLJ, although you have to agree that the story is a bit too much in both. Have you watched Jo jeeta wohi sikandar? I love that too.

The stories looks different to me, QSQT is like the Indian version of the classical Shakespeare play "Romeo & Juliet" If you read the book in School you will notice the similarities in the film. I'm not a fan of the play but I actually enjoyed the movie alot maybe it's because of the chemistry between the actors and the wonderful musics.

DDLJ had it own charm of being different during it's days.

Gosh ! "Jo Jeeta ..." is my all time favorite one. 😊 Agree wid your take on QSQT n DDLJ 'too much' approach but,we can't do any thing because,Its well known 'Bollywood Tadka' effect on our movies. 😆 for example...Chk this one -

QSQT was based on Romeo and Juliet, and rather very well done too, actually. But please, how do you live in the same city and not know the family your family hates?

As for DDLJ, Joe has already pointed out one of it's many anmol moments. Others being, how did SRK land up in the exact same field, at the exact same place where Kajol was, and tied the bell to the cow which was right in her line of vision. But I still love the movie, and I have a copy of it on my laptop that I watch whenever I feel low.
