Dear Members We have mentioned it time and time again (as well as it being clearly addressed in the rules post for Rangrasiya) that if you have any issues or queries regarding the moderation or how the Rangrasiya forum is handled, you are to approach the DT of the forum. The moderators of the forum are Souro and Visha. If you are unhappy with their response then the next point of call is myself (Artemisia) If by this stage you are still not content with the response then you are free to approach the global moderators for mediation (Shruti, Gur, or Mel). Making posts on the forum regarding such issues does nothing for the bettermeant of the forum, and only serves to further aggravate, instigate and cause friction on an already volatile forum.
I agree there are some posts that go on for a number of pages before they are dealt with. The main aim of such posters are to come to the forum and rile a response from the members, and they succeed because the members fall for it time and time again. The perpetrators are have action taken against them according to the rules that DT follow, however responsibility lies on the members of this forum as you, members need to learn to not respond to vicious comments outsiders coming to comment to only rile a response. If you the members refrain from commenting and just reporting, such posts would never reach 40-50 pages and would be dealt with just the TM and not having to reprimand the members of the forum as well.
The query why the members are mentioned in the notes, because we all know the TM is at fault, we all know that the TM has come to rile the forum and cause aggravation, repeating that does not make the situation any better, but informing the members to no respond to such comments does serve for the future betterment of the forum, as if in the future members adhere to such request it does to lead to instigating posts running up to the pages that they do. With that being said, that does not mean we do not take action against such members, action is taken against all members who break forum rules, regardless of who they are.
This misconception of preferring to action one certain posts over another is completely unfounded. We do not moderate this forum individually but consensually, a decision is made not singularly but with the collaboration of the DT and senior DT when needed. What that does mean is that sometimes actions take longer to make, but action is taken. And yes there are times when the DT are not around, we all live in different time zones so a report is actioned dependent on when a DT is available, that means sometimes a report gets handled after it only reaching 2-3 pages and sometimes 20+ depending on availability. Who and what the reported thread is targeting has no bearing at all on how quickly a thread is taken care of. It is quite unfortunate and disheartening for the members of this forum to think like this.
Hope this clarifies, if not - feel free to contact the DT using the above method mentioned
Regards
RR DT
