Great post. I wanted to add one thing. I think you've said it already in a different way however I think a part of it was the marketing. I remember when the ads first started the vision of the show I had in mind was a different then portrayed [my impression was this was a dark tv show-Yudh style however darker and set remotely not in a city]. I remember a couple of people that I had conversed about this in passing when it was launching had a completely different image of the show [should add they never watched it thanks to the marketing] then what the viewers that actually watched were handed in terms of plot and material and intensity.

In terms of the ads, I didn't think it was dark as Yudh, but more so a love story seeded in blood and violence and springing from that- it was very intriguing; at the same time I think I get what you're saying that maybe if they had marketed initially a bit lighter (considering the show isn't as dark as many would have thought) then they wouldn't be in this conundrum? 🤔

I actually think that PaRud romance was always the trp of the show to gain viewers they will always do the push pull with that romance I also feel that they wanted to do drag the Milan but trps were down already and channel cracked the whip. See yaar, daily shows can really not have depth they have to build shows track by track and if track is not getting trps, they have to close the track and introduce new one - trp down phir track is also down

I agree with every word you are saying tho, I for one have stopped watching - I was very very upset when the CV of the show came back with #suchislife response. Feel like showing her this post!

Thank you so much for taking the time out to read it all!

EXACTLY! the Consumation only happened to fulfill and end to a means since they had already dragged it out for so long. I can only hope that they end up doing justice to the show but I highly doubt it 😭

I think colors [rangeela touche], marriages, saas [MIL's] and kheer sell on Indian TV. Promotions with a little hint of these would have worked wonders. After the audience had appeared thinking they would get a story where the colorfully dressed saas is berating the more colorfully dressed newly married bahu for her poor performance in the kitchen with subpar kheer and then found it was a lot better [and different - imagine that - different storyline] then what they thought it could've worked wonders for the show. Sorry for the sarcasm-it's my annoyance with the TRP topper formulas.

No worries hun, sometimes sarcasm is the best way to get rid of all of the irritation- or at least parts of it

Great post.

Totally agree with you. They had the storylines right there to make RR successful but like you said there was no follow up.
The whole Nandini story would have bought Paro, her village and Mamisa centre stage. This would have allowed them to show more about the FL, her emotions and the TRP aunties would have been very happy. Then there was also the side track of Maithili-Samrat adopting. Who wouldn't have loved that story. The whole Mohini-Mala-Dilshar story also could have worked.
As for Paro and Rudra and their love story was also rushed. We could have seen gradual changes in their relationship. The intensity and the passion was there but we got nothing like what we were expecting.
RR now is ok but for me I will always remember the RR from the initial days. Now only watching because of Sanish and that's all.

Completely agree, my dear. After investing my heart and soul in the beautiful journey of RR and PaRud, I just can't find the excitement anymore...😭

Thank you so much! I completely agree with you as well, RR now is just OK- pretty run of the mill and nothing mindblowing about it 😭

Bang on!!! Totally agree with the points mentioned by TM. There were so many plots left unsolved all due to TRPs ...
I once had jotted down many points that the plot could take for both Rudra and Paro but everything went haywire after April ... rushed and mis-placed SR just because they had to show some romance and lots of other useless plots were introduced to garner TRP ... the biggest fault in the story ... kill off the main female lead and bread the PaRud bond... not done! simply not done!

In Myrah's language: he (ST) threw me (RR) out ... what the hell, seriously, what the hell!!! Myrah (RR) turns around to find crowd (Colors) but no one's there! 😆
