I first heard this phrase in a Bond movie. Sean connery says the french phrase 'c'est la vie' to

Kim basinger in the movie 'Never say never again'.

When she asks the meaning he says such is life.

So I used to like this phrase but not anymore.

It also goes to show how tone and timing are important because when it was said later in hindi

zindagi aisi hi hai, people were not offended.

Maybe the CVs believe that if we see a lot of similarities between the two women, we will be more accepting of future romance between Myrah and Rudra. Frankly if Myrah is not Paro, I want her to win everyone over using her charm and good nature and not because she has things in common with Paro.
