Finally, the long-awaited Suhagraat of our beloved Rudra and Paro finally made an appearance tonight. The scene was short, sweet and ethereal. And to be frank, I found this to be more..worthy of this legendary couple then anything else the CVs could've brought forth today.
This 10-minute scene brought forth the epic culmination of Rudra and Paro's relationship from their introduction on December 30th, 2013. I've read countless posts about this scene ranging from saying that it was "too short, too innocent, too soon" or "too vulgar". Well, you know what they say: you can't please everyone.
I refuse to talk about the rumours circulating on the forum to dampen the after-effects of such an event. I made the mistake of logging into the forum before the episode aired and let me tell you, that was the worst mistake of my life. Seriously.
But I digress. So for your reading pleasure (or displeasure) I'm going to put in my two-cents on this scene. This is my FIRST analysis of RR, so please be nice, baisas!
To all that have said this scene should have more hot and passionate because it was Rudra ("I mean c'mon, he's an animal"), I respectfully disagree. Yes, our Major-saab has always been portrayed as this fire-hot, ruthless jallad (Man #3 from Laila's List of Different Men). But with Paro, ever since the love confession that is, he has always shown his gentler, softer and caring side. An animal will usually only show this aspect of their personality to their mate. And Paro is this alpha's mate. I'm sure many of you have read smutty Shifter romance novels (Don't you dare deny it!) and the alpha male is always the possessive, protective, loving man to his woman. That's Rudra. And don't forget that regardless of Paro's straightforwardness and direct manner, Rudra is the FIRST man Paro has ever had contact with (January 2nd, anyone?). She is an innocent when it comes to physical intimacy. The previous scenes of intimacy between the two were the "foreplay" to the ultimate event.
So why extend that foreplay here? They've done pretty much everything before, no sense in repeating it.
Now, was the scene (sexually) hot? No.
Was it passionate? Yes.
Was it sensual? Hell yes.
And I think that's what made this work. The sensuality brought forth is a wonderful way to illustrate the climax from the purity of Rudra and Paro's relationship.
And I know what you must be thinking. "Purity? What is this girl smoking?!" Let me explain: Their relationship started from misunderstandings that lead to distrust and hate between the two. The clearance of those misunderstandings marked the change in their attitude towards each other. It was not love a first sight. Yes, there was an attraction but it was not love. Their love for each other grew from observing each other's actions and emotions. They KNOW each other's faults and strengths - their stubbornness and also their loyalty. This knowledge was obtained without the addition of physical intimacy and further cemented from the sign from Blolenath that they were meant to be. Napermonster said in a previous post that Rudra and Paro are one of the few couples in tellydom that have a stable, emotional relationship. They are ONE in their hearts and souls, and no misunderstandings can separate them. If that's not pure, then what is?
Was the SR unexpected? Yes, but it was needed. The connection between scenes was, I admit, not up to par with RR standards but you could still see it. Paro was upset and Major-saab was not having it. This alpha male will destroy anything that would bring his mate sadness. So, what other way to show Paro that their life will continue to be beautiful then to cement their husband-and-wife formula?
Finally, many have asked, "Why was the rain necessary? That's random." Personally, I believe it was a showering of blessings from the Gods above on this couple's new journey in their life together. I've read somewhere that sudden rain showers denotes that pleasure will be enjoyed with the zest of youth and prosperity will come to you. What better way to the start of lovemaking that that, baisas?
I know this post is exceptionally long and I hope I didn't bore you. I told myself that I would never get invested in show like I did once before, but RR just sucked me in, dammit! RR is one-of-a-kind and the CVs have done a fantastic job so far.
Last but not least, a BIG round of applause to Sanaya and Ashish for bringing such characters to life and for performing their roles which such professionalism. Credit also goes to their life partners for understanding their passion to their craft.
Cheers
