Same story, same cast. But as always, spoilers from the usual unconfirmed sources have soured the experience of something that my old friend serialjunkie has waited for since before the show started.
And lo and behold--my inbox, which I had left empty just hours before is now interrupting me with notifications as panicked PMs from friends are pouring in, people who are incredibly upset with the spoilers, the show, the idea of Paro dying, Rudra being with a "new" Paro, everything. So, instead of lying in bed having a nice lazy morning-after cigarette like any well satisfied Baisa, I am writing on these rumors instead. Dammit, there goes my post-lovemaking (of fictional characters) buzz...
So. I am positive this is nonsense. Like, laughing about the stupidity- of -it type positive. The sources are from untrustworthy sites, and these same "sources" predicted RR's cancellation just a few days back. I agree that there might be some big changes to the story line, but that has been something we have asked for for months now, naa? And RR, they have moved from kitchen politics, and there seems to be a real strength in the air, a determination to change characters, to make them stronger, to give silent people and background characters a real voice. Examples? Well, just off the top of my head:
We have Shatabdi, a new permanent entry--she has an entire story to tell. Sumer will be tamed, we all know this. How? What will this do to Mohini? Thats a whole, fun arc. We have Maithli and Samrat, with the adoption being a real possibility for them now, with Mohini having grudges against that. We have Mala, and Dilsher, and their possible reuniting. We of course have poor Sunehri, her upcoming broken heart, her disillusionment, and potential pairing with Aman, as she tries to move on in her life. And in ALL of these, we will need Paro, and Rudra as he stands right behind her, reluctantly helping his wife GET these tracks going.
And Shantanu? They still have this guy on hand for five more months. They wont make him sew ghagras to kill the time. It is absolutely necessary for them to return to Shantanu's Birpur presence--how many more red flags will they show on this? If Shantanu was just garden variety crazy, with nothing more than the relationship with Varun, then what is with the Birpur connect? Shantanu being evil did not need the strong roots to Birpur, nor did Thakurain / Birpur Aunties need to remember him. They are bringing the story back to the Brides of Birpur, and Shantanu's now almost guaranteed involvement with the Sarhad Par terrorism (sorry, Oldestfan--you called it right, baba!). So--new tracks!
Please remember how many stories we have left dangling there! And this guy is a BSD Officer! That meant the BSD is not safe for Rudra, for V K Singh, for Aman-- the army has been infiltrated, Baisas! This is Rudra's first wife, and there are so many tracks there! If they are going to kill Paro, do you think Rudra will survive it, or be able to do his job and track down the terrorism angle? Honestly? He'll put on his uniform, become the Jallad again, and five years from now, a pretty girl will remind him of Paro, only she'll be a college student and bubbly, and Paro 2.0? Rangrasiya's CVs are supposed to be thinking like this, seven months in?
The story is changing--but it is returning back in time, not going forward! Lets not forget the return to Birpur, itself, to Thakur, to Mala's role. With the bullet floating around, Shantanu's reveal was almost guaranteed. Why bring Birpur back in? Because Shantanu's a part of the bigger picture, just like the Thakur said, way back. Nandini, Thakur, so many storylines are all leading to Shantanu's reveal, and Rudra and Paro working together now, for the first time. Rudra already suspects him. Its Paro's turn.
And one final, more practical reason for why this "spoiler" is nonsense--including the whole 5 year leap bullshit. After September, with BB, the show will have moved to a new time slot. Channels always give shows some breathing space to settle down when their time slots have been adjusted. No show-maker is crazy enough to introduce a whole new concept, a new time-line, new version of the heroine or hero at this time. This is when the show is getting its audience to slowly come back and find the show again, in the new time-slot, and even finding new audience.
You and I are NOT the usual audience for RangRasiya. The millions of watchers who tune in now and then, the casual viewers--they'll be confused enough with the time change. Then, of course, Big Boss will have some audience trickle in to watch RangRasiya after the show. Tewari wont confuse the hell out of the main audience by changing the time AND the entire story concept. That's suicide!
So Baisas--chill. The creatives have already mapped out, through hints and dialogue, that Rudra and Paro are going nowhere. The show is seven months old--who has the time for a time leap now? We got the promise of eternal love LITERALLY yesterday. "Wada karta hu, aakhri saas thak koi alag nahi kar payenge." Do you see Rudra falling for some Paro look- alike, or Tewari even wanting that, when their love, when Paro, when her existence is the heartbeat and the white light of the show? Let the spoilers do their worst. But please, Baisa--don't let them spoil your enjoyment, or make you upset when its logically impossible for such predictions to come true,
Baisas...ek khaas spoiler bol du? Sirf aapke liye? back to back dekhna---Mind blowing hoga! 😆
