If we go on the premise that it was Paro's prayers and the vachan she exchanged Rudra's life for that actually saved him then we have to look at Paro's unselfish act of sacrifice. We don't want it we don't like it and dreaded it happening at all. Paro is a young woman who walks the right path above all and her word is her oath. She had made a promise to exchange her soul for his life when he was dying. Maithili found out and berated her and Rudra has to now live the knowledge that his wife has left him for a higher purpose.
