Hey thanks for the pm! I was out most of the day and just got back awhile ago and searched in vain for your post for awhile - found it!
I appreciate the Major's honesty and his being forthright. What you see is what you get with him and I'm very much the same way so I appreciate that quality in others (even fictional characters) - I like how protective he is of those whom he loves and cares for.I won't comment on his physical attributes - but the Major is hot. I think it's his attitude. Ashish is a good looking guy but he doesn't do much for me (I know blasphemy Shweta!) I was the same way with the other guy everyone was gaga over so no partiality on my part.I love Paro's faith and her courage. Her ability to move forward is something that impresses me as well. She doesn't wallow or feel sorry for himself but keeps going. It's an admirable quality.Great post Tennessean!

I love the boy in Rudra...the hidden mischievousness, the naive, trusting boy who waited for his mother to come back; who refused to go out and play in case his mother reappeared; the one who asked if he could drink all the milk in the house because he wanted his mother to come back...my heart breaks for that boy. It kills me to think of the young boy who was taunted at school because of his mother, this boy who's father - instead of comforting him and loving him - hurt him even more. My heart aches for the man Rudra is today, the insecurities and pain he holds and cannot let go of because the scars are too deep. My heart hurts for the man who believes he does not deserve love simply because the one he loved most left him. I applaud the man for not drowning in his sorrows, I applaud him for working hard and becoming a Major despite all his emotional baggage. And despite his pain, Rudra thinks not of himself but of Paro when she insists on coming close to him. He does not selfishly accept Paro's love because he is starving for it, but selflessly thinks of Paro and tells her she deserves better and that he cannot be the man she wishes him to be. I love Rudra for his honesty, for his vulnerabilities, for his stubbornness, and for his never ending desire to protect Paro. Even in his sleep he looks out for her. I love the man he can be, but I also love who he is. Just like Paro does 😉
What to say about Paro...I love Paro's innocence, I love her stubbornness, I love her firm belief in her God and in Rudra. I love her loyalty, when she believed Tejawat was innocent she protected him no matter what. Now she loves Rudra and is incredibly loyal to him. This girl gives 110% in everything she does, she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in and is confident in her love. She is extremely selfless but knows she has a right to be selfish sometimes, to think of herself, to do "man maani". Paro has been through a lot herself, but in some sense she has had closure for all the tragic events that occurred in her life, and this has made her strong, strong enough to be able to pull Rudra out of his miseries. If Rudra is a lion Paro is a lioness...she will protect what is hers fiercely and will battle her enemies headstrong if the situation calls for it. Do not mess with this woman, she is kind and loving but if you try to hurt her loved ones she will not spare you. She is motherly by nature, she will take care of you without you asking. If you are a loved one she will shower you with love and affection even if you do not want it or resist it (oh Rudy boy). This woman has a clear idea of what is right and what is wrong and she will always support what is right, no matter what the consequences may be. I love the child in Paro, inside Rudra there is a little broken boy and in our Paro, there is a laughing little girl who recognizes the child in her husband and wishes to draw him out so she can teach him to laugh. She harbours the hope that one day they can laugh together. I love Paro's simplicity and no-nonsense straightforward nature. She compliments Rudra perfectly, and he is to her what a naive woman like her may need...a worldly man, a man who will protect her from the cruelties of the world, and in this process the innocence of this beautiful woman will hopefully remain intact. Do not be fooled though...this woman can battle the world on her own, she does not need a man to survive, but she chooses to trust her husband unconditionally with her life. She enjoys being protected, simply because she knows this is her husband's way of showing love. Paro is naive but very smart. She knows how to give but also knows how to take happiness in small things that are offered to her.I love Paro and Rudra because they complete each other, because they are each other's anchor and hope.Yeah I got carried away, simply because I really do love these fictional characters...it kills me when their characterization is played with for the convenience of the story 😛

Awesome post T. And Shweta great collages!
Rudra - I think he's a softie under his rigid exterior- he has built this fort around himself so that he doesn't get hurt. I like that he respects everyone around him despite how they behave - he puts up with KCM because of kaku-sa and with Laila because of his past relationship with her. I want him to get the love and happiness he deserves and has missed out on because of his mother. On this mother's day - i really really hope she has a very good reason for doing what she did to this little boy.Paro - I can't say enough about her. She is beautiful outside and inside. I admire how strong she is and how unselfish she is. Giving up the one thing she truly loves means giving up happiness she never had and yet she did it without thinking twice! Her love for all (esp. Rudra) is without any expectations. She truly wants everyone to be happy.

Happy Mother's Day..
About the major...I like that he treats his wife well... Ensures that she gets respect...if a hubby makes sure that nobody in his house says something bad about his wife.. In his presence.. Tameez se Baat kariye ye meri patni hai..she automatically gets respect in a joint household...Paro..she has understood more than romance her husband needs nurturing to heal his inner scars.. Right now he has deeper emotional needs more than physical needs..
