TFS... Beautiful analysis by TT...Yup, it is one of the BEST dance sequences on Indian TV. It was The perfect song for The Perfect couple...

I totally loved that last scene before the dance ended where Paro turns away from his desire filled gaze and he turns her to him... Truly a job well done by the entire team of RR... 👏👏

RangRasiya : "Khush-Naseeb Hai Yeh Jin Ko Hai Mili, Yeh Bahaar Zindagi Mein"; PaRud First Dance (Analysis And Symbolism)

Paro: Par Major saab maare ko yeh wala nach toh aata hi nahi hai.

Rudra: Mujhe dekhti jaa aur karti jaa...Thodi der ke liye apne aap ko mere hawale kar de.
Paro: Par... maari chappalein
Rudra: Bharosa rakh... girne nahi doonga, bas meri aakhon mein dekhti jaa.

And then it was raining romance, passion, desire, want and love.

Yes what followed was something that words would fail to describe; one could say it was magical but would it suffice to express the feel of the sequence, the visual feast that played before the eyes of the viewers?

It's been a while since the analysis of a song sequence has been done but looks like RangRasiya's recent song and dance sequence "Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta" has managed to awaken TT from its deep slumber and thus we bring forth this article for all our readers.

It all started with Mrs. Gitanjali Singh persuading Paro to accompany her to the party. An initially hesitant Paro eventually agrees to go. Gitanjali skillfully plays the role of a fairy godmother and transforms Paro from a traditional village belle to a stunning diva. When Paro descended the staircase clad in a red sari with black & silver embellishment, and accessories that enhanced her beauty, Rudra was taken aback by the sight of his lovely wife and she left him mesmerized. Super Likes!!! Rudra walks towards Paro, taking in every bit of the beautiful sight that stood before him with his every step. Well this was a small loop closure as well because when Rudra came dressed in the Black suit looking more than dashing as ever, even Paro was left spellbound.

Gitanjali plays cupid yet again when she warns Major Rudra Pratap Ranawat and Paro to not leave the dance floor and asking the newlywed couple to dance, thus paving way for PaRud's first dance together. An already uncomfortable Paro (Thanks to her stilettos) tells Rudra that she can't, to which Rudra who was initially reluctant to do any of this, asks her to trust him and follow his lead.

Symbolism: I mentioned that Rudra was initially reluctant but then agrees to the dance. It goes on to show that for Paro he can and he will mend his ways. When Paro tells that she isn't comfortable, that she does not know this form of dance Rudra asks Paro to hand herself over to him for the next couple of minutes, and when Paro shares her worries about her footwear as she wasn't used to wearing them let alone dance Rudra asks Paro to trust him and that he would never let her fall. What we see Paro do is exactly the same, she hands herself over to him because Paro has begun to realize that she can trust Rudra with her eyes shut.

Rudra takes Paro to the dance floor by her hand and soon after we can see that Paro clutches on to his Arm as well. Rudra's action symbolizes that he will be there with her at every step of life, to guide her while Paro's action symbolizes that she feels the most secure when with Rudra. Had it not been for Rudra would Paro even think about dancing in a party like this? NO, she would never. But with him she is always ready to take that leap of faith.

The Dance: This has to be one of the most scintillating couple dance on Indian Television in recent times. Everything about it was flawless be it the song selection, the settings, lightnings, choreography, direction and camera angles or the way it was executed on the whole.

Special mention for the selection of such an amazing song and one that was perfectly in sync with the character of Paro and Rudra. The lyrics of the song felt as though it was made exclusively for PaRud and their love-story. The Choreography was simple but stylish and smartly done and the biggest plus point was that selecting Har kisi ko' gave scope for more movements which were WOW. Having great beats the sequence had more dance than just twirls and lifts which is the usual norm when it comes to such passionate dances on Television.

Do lafz ki hai, baat ek hi hai.
Kyoon darmiyaan phir, ruki ruki..
Keh bhi na paayein, reh bhi na paayein..
Kyoon bevajah hai, yeh bebasi.

This is when Rudra takes the lead, shows Paro how to hold him and pulls her closer. He gives her a slight nod guiding her on how to position herself for the dance. We can see how Paro sways a little more comfortably under Rudra guidance before he can twirl her thus commencing the dance. Lyrics wise for Rudra somewhere he knows he is in love with Paro but he cannot or rather does not want to accept it to himself or to her for fear of heartbreak. So the male lyrics Keh bhi na paaye, reh bhi na paaye ... Kyun bevajah hai, ye bebasi'speaks Rudra's state of mind. The helplessness he feels when with Paro, of not being able to reciprocate her love. This is something he can end in a couple of seconds but he'd rather embrace this Bebasi' than his love for Paro.

The next paragraph "Tum mein hum hai..." needs no explanation because it pretty much describes PaRud. Even when Rudra denies it, he knows that she exists in him and him in her and that they have given a new meaning to each other's existence. Their fate is sealed together. While Paro has accepted and embraced this, Rudra is yet to do so.

The hook line "Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta Yahan Pyaar Zindagi Mein" has been stupendously choreographed and shot equally well. The camera trolley moments when these lines seep in for the first time and PaRud give their first major dance moves leaves you in awe of them. I mentioned that the song selection is a smart one, but I would also add that the song editing is also smartly done. The dance sequence never showed the Khush-naseeb hain hum jin ko hai mili, yeh bahaar zindagi mein'. This particular line is what completes the song and this was missing from PaRud sequence, and it makes perfect sense doesn't it? Here Paro has confessed her love and awaits Rudra's acceptance. Rudra on the other hand knows Paro is special and wants her in his life but he neither admits it nor accepts or reciprocates her feelings. So by proxy they are not lucky (Khush-Naseeb) because even when something so beautiful exists between them, they haven't attained it fully.

"Pyaar na ho to, zindagi kya hai? Yaar na ho to, bandagi kya hai.
Tujh se hi har khushi hai, Tere dam se aashiqui hai... jaan le"

The paragraph crystal clearly speaks of Paro's feelings. Paro not only loves Rudra but she has realized that Rudra is the answer to her prayers (bandigi) and the biggest truth of her life. Rudra has turned out to be the reason for her happiness and the Bhaage re mann' seq in the previous episode where Paro for the first time is seen to be truly happy and content is a perfect testimony to this. In short till now Paro was just living and with Rudra's arrival she has become alive.

"Mil jaaye hum toh, sab kuch sahi hai.

Phir is tarah kyun hain ajnabee."

Both Rudra and Paro know that when they are together nothing can happen to either one of them. Everything feels right because they complete each other. During the line "...hain ajnabee" we see Rudra place Paro on his toes. Like he promised he did not allow her to fall (Sometimes one can lose balance while landing after a lift) and the act also symbolizes how he values her before anything and everything, it shows respect and providing a sense of safety. We see Rudra completely lost in Paro so much that, had he given himself completely into the moment, instead of controlling his passion, desire and pent up feelings he would have ended up kissing his lovely wife. Paro closes her eyes in anticipation but Rudra pushes Paro away, afraid that he would lose himself. But soon after he brings her back closer to him which symbolizes that no matter how he hard tries to push her away she will keep coming back to his life, by herself or because of him."Tu mohabbat hai, ishq hai mera, Ek ibaadat hai, saath yeh tera.

Jab dil se dil milein hai, Phir kyoon ye faasle hain, is tarah."

Paro has accepted Rudra as the love of her life, as her husband and has voiced it out openly before the world and Rudra. Who Paro once believed to be a Jhallad is now somebody she worships. Paro knows that they are destined to be together; she knows about Rudra's feelings and helps him understand the same in her drunken state. Paro confidently tells Rudra that no matter how much he tries to hurt her, the pain of having to do so reflects in his eyes which speaks volumes of his love. So even if their hearts have met there are distances between the two that needs to be covered. Interestingly even the choreography at that point shows them apart from each other. Smart!

The last part of the dance sequence has to be the best of the entire lot. Unable to bear Rudra gaze, Paro looks away but for Rudra who was caught in his own web of feelings and emotions, who inspite of trying hard couldn't keep himself away from Paro holds her by her arm, cups her cheek and turns her to face him and when she does he gives her one longing glance and dips her, thus ending the dance and the sheer brilliance that rolled out before the viewers.

That brings us to an end of RangRasiya "PaRud-Har Kisi Ko" sequence analysis and symbolism. Do share your views about it with us in the comment section below.
